Not to be confused with the highly respectable, class-act 3nOut.

I'm confused, i forgot which is the OG, and which copied the others SIG/AVATAR

Meh. Preview sounded pretty Texas butthurt, basically every highlight seemed to be a positive Texas one. They already sounded like they were taking the "poor aggy had to run off to the SEC because the LHN made them crap their pants" angle. They were talking about the PUF and how it was originally "supposed to just be for Texas".

Whole point seems to be around trying to guilt Ags into going back to the rivalry on any terms because of "tradition".

The game will likely come back at some point but it better be on terms that are in our interest, period. If there is one thing we know for damn sure, Texas cares only about Texas so we have to do the same.

I'd like to see the game return. But watched the trailer and this is completely uninteresting to me. Just seems to be spun from an angle I fundamentally disagree with.

I'm at work and can't watch it, but I'm not necessarily opposed to the idea of a documentary about it as long as it's unbiased and presents both sides. From y'all's comments it sounds like that might not be the case. Even though I'm not eager for it to return any time soon, it is an important part of state and both schools history

Will not watch if it has a burnt orange bias like it appears.

Amen. Next time we play Texas I want it to be a SEC vs PAC matchup.

the two people who make up that entertainment group don't see to have any readily apparent connections to the sips from my 45 seconds of internet research. One was born in LA, owns his own company as a producer of similar short-films/documentaries, the other was born in NYC, went to college at PA and Ithica, has a similar background.

Both seem to live in the Dallas/Ft Worth area now.

I think something like this was bound to happen eventually, but put me down as a "pass"

I wanna see a 30 for 30 on this, tbh. In about a decade that would be compelling.

Hell, it'd be compelling NOW.

the bad part is that it just doesn't make sense to do it without spinning it one way or the other...whoever is on top at the time ratings-wise probably gets the nod

[sigh]

True.

Damn shame about that, too. An impartial documentary would be awesome, but it's a pipe dream.

An impartial documentary would be a 12-episode miniseries.

If they wanted to do a legit one they would need to talk about 13-0, Bonfire, some of the epic games ('56, '63, '75, '85, '95, '98, '99, '11 etc.), the Hex Rally, the 100 other traditions around the game, the origin of the Fight songs, DX Bible, Charlie Moran, stealing Bevo and Rev, Divided Families, etc. The massive size of both schools and their power and impact as well as their history focusing on how Texas became a Public School Powerhouse and A&M has grown into an even larger school after starting with our military school history. The politics are also interesting but honestly too complicated and both sides have too strong of a view on either side to do it.

Instead it looks like they are focusing on A&M leaving and how we were Texas' bitch for a long time. It's too bad, there is a lot of great material out there to tell the story from both sides and honestly I think it would be better with just a casual mention of how it ended. Maybe taking the "money drives everything and Texas wanted the LHN and A&M wanted the SEC so thus it has ended, at least for now but hopefully will someday return just as it did 100 years ago".

Much easier to do the Texas Butthurt thing though.

It could be done very well and be the best 30 for 30 ever. It won't happen though.

You're exactly right. If done right this could be a very good documentary. Unfortunately this felt like one of those cheap short films you find in museums screens just running on loop for visitors to see.
