Umm... no. Do you realize how many companies hire people who are skilled at writing, editing and dealing with the media?
I was offered a job to be a fricking drug rep because of my experience in journalism.

Hey, Gump, I am only 50 miles from Davidson. I have hired two or three from there. All I had to do was teach them newspaper style. They could already write.

Not a bit, Gump. It was rather a silly post. But Gumps are like a box of chocolates, you know the the ones that have melted.

You can see about half of the second prettiest tree on campus in that shot...we don't see many Southern Magnolias around these parts.

I should not be surprised by some of the blatant ignorance that appears on this message board. But is irksome and tiring.
Mizzou has a beautiful campus.
I have had a gorgeous magnolia tree for 20 years. Surprising how it has survived the extremes in weather. Blooms profusely in late March.

That's cute. USCjr plays football fairly well, but really? International business?
Your state home is the single wide. Even Arkansas goes for the doublewide. Its the one state on the east coast untouched by prosperity. But hey, at least you still marry cousins.
International business -- please tell me you know that Georgia, Florida, Virginia, and Alabama are not foreign countries? And the only business going on down there is pimping out your sisters for a fresh bottle of sour mash.
South Carolina - international business. ... That's rich.

I normally just use the rant to satisfy my inner voyeur, but being a Moore School of Business alum.. I simply couldn't pass this one up.. so I'm devoting my very first post to you, my dear disgruntled-Mizzou-fan..
Dear Panzerfahre,
I understand you're a Mizzou fan, so there's a level of butthurt associated with anything related to SC, and that's fair, but allow me to inform you...
If you'd done your research then you would know that SC's international business programs (graduate and undergrad)are both currently ranked #1 in the country among public and private universities. Everyone knows this. IB is USC's specialty, has been for 20+ years, the program has been ranked that long.. Need links? Here..

Also, you talked about us being a "bastion of poverty".. okay, you didn't say that, but still..
Yea you're right, SC isn't Massachusetts or Connecticut.. but neither is MISSOURAH.. SC gets it's fair sharee of money from tourism (as do most Southern states), but SC is also currently a hot state for manufacturing.. BMW, Michelin and a list of other European companies with their North American Headquarters and production lines in SC will attribute to this.. we also have Boeing (the only state to build Boeing airliners besides Washington). So you're right, we're not great, but we're trying. And you've clearly never been to Charleston and the SC lowcountry.. there are so many mansions and millionaires here that its driving up everybody's rent (mine included). Oprah lives here!
SC isn't Vanderbilt or Stanford, but we're not a shabby school. SC is serious about it's business program being top tier.. just ask the university and one of our billionaire alums, Darla Moore why they're investing over $100 million into a new state of the art business school right in the heart of our new research district..

Like I said earlier, USC is serious about education and we do it with little state funding from the state government (less than 10%). We're essentially a public school functioning like a private one (Donations and Research), while still producing a quality education and quality graduates.. Oh, also, we also had the best public honor's college in the country (better than Berkeley's, UVA, Texas', etc)
LINK /
Lastly, I understand you were being a troll.. but believe it or not, there's an art to trolling. Next time do a little research. It shouldn't be this easy.

It shouldn't be that easy. But you are apparently either just extra special or worked overtime to make it that easy.
Don't forget you are also second in the nation in cousins copulating. Arkansas beat you out of that one. But not by much. Get back to work, you can do it.

Paaaaawl,
Out of all of that "special" and overtime work I did.. you rebuttal with a generic stereotype about southerners "keeping it in the family"? Weak.
(FYI: it's no longer socially acceptable to make fun of "special" kids) Get with the times man!
