No mention of cumming in the chili and peeing on legs? He was probably the smartest pitcher ever.

The greatest thing about Maddux is he never had an overpowering fastball that carries many of the pitchers today. Notice how when guys like Justin Verlander lose the speed on the fastball they all become mediocre pitchers because of how the relied on it. Maddux had a backdoor cutter that literally would move all the way across the plate like a thing of beauty. Watching him pitch was artistic in the same way watching Tony Gwynn hit was. He will forever be my favorite Brave and I still have his rookie card.

I remember watching him warm up once at Turner. The catcher would put his glove on a corner and Maddox would hit it a few times...catcher didn't have to move his glove an inch. Then he'd put it on another corner...same thing...rinse, repeat...over and over.

The guy had total command....it was really amazing to watch.
