That's not why he got a raise. He got a raise so he wouldn't leave for USC. It's pretty well documented.

And not to get into a slap fight, but he hasn't done anything in his career to make anyone think he is worth $5 million per year.

Sumlin has job security b/c of his significant buyout, and the fact he's had a very good transition (20 wins in two years) to the SEC... he's got some leeway among aggies it would seem. to me, that means he's got less pressure to make moves like firing a DC.

i'm not saying he won't be under a ton of pressure... but no more than any other coach at one of the top six or seven teams in this conference.

So we gave a coach a raise to insure that he didnt leave for more money?

Have any other programs thought of this before? Because it sounds pretty fricking brilliant.

Wow! Fan of a Bulemia coached team lecturing about coaches!

To address the point, Mark Snyder didn't forget how to coach defense between 2012 and 2013. Aggies will have a lot more depth in the front 7 this year.

The true sleeper team this year is the one that isn't on anybody's sleeper list.
