No attention wanted--I swear it.
You are obviously new to sports message boards, so I'll forgive your ignorance. For future reference, one fan represents every fan. When we judge one, we judge all. So right now, for instance, I am Vandy Nation. Anything I say or do reflects upon every Vandy fan, living, dead, or just stuck in Missouri. That's just how sports message boards work, dammit.

So your whole issue with this is the use of the word "hack"?
Actually, yes. I work in the IT field. If I described directly typing an unlinked URL into the address bar as a hack to any of my peers, they'd properly laugh right in my face.
As I said, it is absolute BS that it could even be considered a violation.

I envy you. In my part of the IT world, if I called this a hack the response would be "What is this hack of which you are speaking? And is there anything else you require today morning?"

If someone tried entering passwords on a login and were able to eventually log in, many would call this a "hack" or someone "Hacked" the account.

That's a hack. More specifically, it is called a brute force attack and it also happens to be illegal.
Everything I've seen thus far indicates that didn't happen in this case.
