Cheeseburgers in Mississippi pretty much suck. Almost every option is a fast food chain (and they are shitty ones like Wendys, not InNOut), or they have overpriced "gourmet" burgers at restaurants with COMPLETELY unspecial beef or buns.

The best burger I have eaten there meat quality wise is Back Yard Burger, which has angus that is still two or three steps below my "backup" burger place here in Austin (and their fries are TERRIBLE). If you want to step it up past angus (like some real grass fed, organic, non-hormone injected locally sourced beef) then you are screwed in the state of Mississippi.

The closest thing to a decent "burger" place in the entire state is Ward's, and that is because of the root beer not the chilli burgers. I am a huge burger fan but everytime I go there to visit I basically live on Popeyes because I can't stand what passes for a "burger" in that state.

Whenever I hear the Hotty toddy chant it reminds of small children yelling and screaming for attention
