Thanks,
We all know that's what UGA fans are gearing up to say a few games into this season.

Always a possibility. LSU fans are already saying it.

Perhaps you should try making it your goal? If you keep losing to Georgia you might not ever win another championship. I mean, it's looking more and more like Alabama and Auburn are pulling all the championships of late.

There is not 1 UGA fan I know of who even entertains the idea of getting rid of Richt.

You have to be fricking kidding. Most realize it's not practical, but there are plenty who would get rid of him in a heartbeat.

Our goal is never to beat 1 particular team. It's to win championships, once again, apparently unlike the goals of UGA.

Teams lose to other teams all the time and win championships. I could care less if we played UGA every year and lost every year. If we win championships that's all that matters.

He's 30-10 the past 3 seasons.
Why the hell would we fire him?

I'm not kidding, and I live in UGA country.

Of course there's the usual post-lost game meltdown of "FIRE RICHT" or "BLAME THE DC". After a season is over, or hell, in the middle of it, all is forgiven of Richt and it turns into Next Year U.

Then you've got earmuffs on, or are only hearing the point of view that fits your preconceived notions. The UGA fanbase has been divided on this subject since like 2009.

Shouldn't your goal be to beat every team? Correct me where I am going wrong here.

And yet....you are not winning championships. Sure, you have won more than georgia. We agree. But sheesh.....it's been 7 years, hasn't it? I mean, you demand excellence, and your goal is to win National Championships...yet it's been 7 years. Wow. that must really hurt such a superior program and superior fan base.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. UGA fans willing to make every excuse in the book for Richt, "but he still wins a good bit of games!"

With zero championships, 1 Top 10 finish (1 unranked finish as well), zero BCS bowl appearances and 1-2 in the bowl games during that time frame.

I'm not saying he should be fired right off the bat, but the fact he has ZERO pressure on him heading into this season, and will still have ZERO pressure on him headed into 2015 as long as he wins 8+ games and gets you to some kind of bowl this season...isn't bothersome to you guys at all?

Yep.

Shoot. I was born in Baton Rouge. I'm closer to being a Tiger than he is!

I'm sure we'd love to win every game, but the fact is teams lose games, but you can still lose games and win championships as pretty much every SEC Champion has done if you havent noticed recently.

Uhhh, only 2 seasons have passed since we last not only won the SEC, but played for a national title. Not exactly 8 years or anything butttt....

sure, but the fact of the matter is that you don't fire a guy who wins that much without have a damn clear choice of who to replace him with. There's not a clear upgrade out there right now.

It would be a totally different matter if there were some UGA alum coaching another school to championships, but there isn't.

Of course he doesn't have pressure on him right now. 2 years removed from 12-2 and last year had to deal with an insane amount of injuries.

If Richt had Miles luck in 2002 or 2007 he probably would have a title

And you know what Miles record is in that same time frame? 33-7. You're right! Miles is MUCH better than Richt!

Ummmm...you DO realize that LSU's record is 1-2 in bowl games in that same time frame, do you not?
No, you didn't, obviously.
