That's what I envisioned too.
These polls are horseshite. We should have a meeting and vote on each and every individual ranking starting at #1..,,,,,and then work backwards. Just las the actual real Czars will.
imo.

By the way, I recalculated without Litigator's ballot counting double, and the top 4 is the same.
Based on the huge gap between 4 and 5, It wouldn't have mattered who's ballot counted double. Maybe Bama and Oklahoma swap positions but overall, not a big deal because 1 plays 4 anyway... right?

Please explain the math that resulted in this overall Top 4.....
How did you come up with the numbers in parenthesis?

I'm fine with taking away the vote on a ballot to eliminate and count double, less for me to calculate.
I've also decided a Top 8 is time consuming, I thought there'd be more parity, but the Top 4, this time around, was pretty clear. No reason to calculate all the outliers. I thought it would be closer.
Top 5 would probably be better for a ballot, publish the top 4. But because a #1 vote should still be weighted more heavily than a #3 or 4 or 5, we should still do inverse points.
I also don't know about the alternate idea. It adds another layer of calculation.
Unlike a pickum which can be even more of a task to calculate, this project will require a quick turnaround because we want this posted before the Comedy Czars in the media publish their's on a Tuesday, so you want all day Sunday to get in the ballots and Monday for Calculation.
Anyway, those are my initial thoughts after having just done this.

Do these calculations mean that I get to print the shirts?
Posted on 6/30/14 at 10:12 pm to Chris_topher
Christopher, Go to StingTalk and get "This Is Atlanta" to do a quick algorithm, or better yet, an excel spreadsheet for calculating top 25.
Then, all anyone has to do is take 5 minutes to plug the data in.
Just a suggestion.
Also, as the season ends, there should be Czar deliberations where we vote spot by spot.....from #1 backwards......
imo

Sorry. Someone has to say it.

I can go to Jeff Sagarin himself and know that voting is a buncha bullshite, no respect for the process.... Jacket77, tell TIA his services are needed

With only 14 ballots it does. Or you end up with a 5 way tie for #1.
Your lack of mathematical understanding makes me second guess your hunger games calculations over the years.

Deeprig,
We're gonna bring in TIA to clean up your mess.. never again allow for a vote... Act like you've been there before.

How do you think I calculated my top 8?
It's amateur hour in Dixie.

That's not realistically possible with 14 ballots. Anyway, I counted the ballots and #1 is clearly Florida State.
TIA's excel spreadsheet will do the same but will then remove florida state from the equation and start over to find #2......Rinse and repeat......until all 25 are listed. This is different from your equation.

Not scared of ties in July....
I like ties in The Games. Ties mean we get to flip coins..........

If you are referring to the ballot elimination/double-points vote, that wasn't my idea. It was your comrade's idea.
I would normally let that slide, but that's the 3rd time you've specifically mentioned it in reference to "me".... ie "your mess" and "act like you've been there".
So get your facts straight.
