Indeed he will.. We have three future NFL players at RB this year. What a terrible problem to the haters.

So 2009, 2011, and 2012 are ancient history?

This year they will play at least 5 teams the run a fast pace Offense (some very well), so the QB will have to win some games with his play alone.

Just because a team runs the HUNH does not mean we have to throw the ball 30 times to beat them. You can still score a lot of points with a heavy emphasis on the ground game (Auburn should know this).

No one even knows who that kid is except Alabama fans. He will be a career back up in college, which is not NFL material. Time to face reality

A TX Team without a QB, a LSU Team built for their Defense and a ND Team that was overrated based on their Defense, are not the prime examples of todays Offenses. The HUNH System is built on tiring out the Defenses and is not a reflection of purely executing a running game. Would Oregon or AU produce the same yardage, if they took 35 Sec to snap the ball? Would they be as effective ? Ask Saban and BB.

This thread seriously brings the lolz

People bashing Coker when everyone knows he doesn't even really have to do much to make their offense click, and that they've been pretty successful with unproven commodities in the past winning a NC both times they broke in a new starting QB.

"Oh but we return 1200 yards rushing in RBs"

Yeah, with over 700 of those yards coming against terrible teams like Wash St, W Carolina, Florida Atlantic and Arkansas St

Color me impressed!

Hypocrites for days ITT

There may be a few knowledgeable AU fans that know he would be starting for them this year if he were there.

1200 yards in real action regardless of competition > than a career back up 3* high school player with zero game time. And we are talking RB vs a QB who has to be in charge of every snap of the game on offense.
You know what, frick it.... Coker for Heisman. I'm convinced!

Drake would be the starting RB at Bama last year if the OL wasn't a bunch of fatasses. He hits the hole faster then Yeldon or Henry, the problem is that the hole hasn't developed by the time he gets there. That is why it looks like he gets all his yardage on his own. It will be a problem this year also.

700+ yards of that against shite squads that might as well be counted as practicing against your back ups

Oh wait, that's called a "spring game" in Auburn

You say "back up" like it's derogatory. Nevermind the fact that he was "backing up" the best player in the nation, the one he almost beat out in practice.

That's like telling the guy who competes with Usain Bolt and barely loses to him that he's trash. He may not be the fastest man in the world but he's still FAST AS frick lol

The term QB is used pretty loosely here. Different teams require different things of their QBs. Texas A&M needed Johnny to put up video game numbers every week to even be competitive. Alabama just needs their QB to move the chains and protect the ball, occasionally throwing a deep pass to keep defenses honest.

It's amazing at how in one breath, people can completely downplay a player's contributions by using the term "game manager" in a derogatory manner, then turn around and act like that player is the absolute "shatterpoint" for that team so to speak. Like damned if you do, damned if you don't lol

Ridiculous

No I Agee with you and antibarner. Coker will dominate all of college football and Auburn will fail to produce a 1000 yard rusher for the first time in 5 years.
And Henry will be Heisman runner-up to Coker based on junk time in the Sugar Bowl where the entire team quit.

Hard to really complain about Bama's rushing attack. The fatasses are usually in the top 2 or 3 in rushing offense in the league.

5 years of 1000 yard rushers and only one championship to show for it.

Meanwhile Bama has had two different starters at QB in the past 5 years and has 3 championships to show for it lol

So being up 7-14 points with half the game to play is now considered "junk time"

Was it "junk time" when we came back and beat you in the NC

Coker for Heisman! I get it. Alabama good, Auburn bad. Most schools would be happy with 2 SEC Championships in that time and 2 NC appearances.
You represent your fan base well!

As if that's unrealistic.

This time last year who would've actually thought Jameis was going to win? Or Johnny the year before that? Or RG3 the year before that?

I think Jameis becomes the second player ever to win the heisman twice, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Coker there in New York

Worst to first happened, yet you can't believe that a quality athlete in a pro-style offense stock loaded with talent can't make it in the heisman race

lol okay
