A changeup ?!? If you're gonna go at their best guy in the 9th with a RISP throw your best pitch.. The fastball had lots of life tonight... Dont throw a frickin changeup... Oh well... Just focus on beating Tech on Tuesday.

That was just the type of game I expected with Kirby and Ellis on the bump. Hopefully the Rebs will bounce back against TT, because Michael Crabtree is still overrated.

It happens. Last week people were calling him a genius for putting Perdzock in as a pinch hitter to seal the deal in Lafayette. Every coach makes bad calls. He made one in the College World Series. That one call didn't cost us the game. Our shitty hitting/their great pitching cost us the game.

Looking back on it I don't question pitching to him as I do how we pitched to him. A change up at the belt isn't a good pitch to throw to a team's best hitter in that situation. As OB said though we were lucky to have gotten to that point. Usually if you get out hit 8-1 you lose a whole lot worse than 2-1 off of a walk off hit. You gotta tip your hat to Kirby
