the hershel walker sec storied is one of my favorites. kid got bullied his whole life and just took it out on the football field. he's now in his 50's and still wants to kick arse. the best 30 for 30 imo is pony express

My favorite 30 for 30s are:
27-24: the Andrew Ritter Story
Or
Buried Alive: How Peria Jerry singlehandedly killed two LSU QBs

I thought Book Of Manning was awesome. Sometimes these come off a little melodramatic, but I thought BOM stayed out of the fray. The story didn't just tip the hat to it really being about fatherhood, it really was/is a story about fatherhood.
Peyton is a strange one, that's for sure. To me, it takes quite a large ego to do what he did going to Tennessee.

It was probation and Cooper having to quit football that pushed him away from Ole Miss.

It was probation

I blame him for the cheating but not for the severity of the probation. Our old AD didn't appeal or negotiate with the NCAA at all. We were hammered with the worst sanctions since SMU's death penalty and we just took it.

Backstory please? I was just born when all this happened and would love to read about it.

Jason Sehorn snitched on us and a few other schools. He took cash from several programs and got a lot of them in trouble. frick that guy.

Wow. That was some rough sanctions we got. 2 year postseason ban, 1 year TV ban, loss of 24 schollys.
BTW. What the hell is a telephone credit card?

I can't sit here and say that if I was a big time recruit that I wouldn't record conversations, meetings or any of the gifts I received from boosters. I would do that THEN turn all the schools (minus the school I chose of course) into the NCAA.

Cooper talking about having to quit football gets me everytime. Especially when he starts talking about the things he misses from it.
