Because the Alabama RB myth has been busted. They're a product of the system, not elite players.

And Gurley does? I'll bet my account that Yeldon runs a faster 40 than Gurley at the combine.

Gurley's track history at UGA and in HS says you'll likely lose that bet.

who gives a shite what his combine 40 time is?

football is not a 40 yard dash.

the difference between speed w/pads on during a game and a timed run in shorts is astronomical.

using a 40 time to say "well he'll be just as fast on the field" is like saying your punching power from those punching bags at bars is going to be the same as if you were in an actual fight.

sure you may have an idea of what you can do under absolute optimal conditions but who gives a shite once you are actually going up against somebody?

Eyeball test. Gurley just looks like the better back despite similar results. I think Gurley would have even better stats at Alabama and Yeldons stats would suffer a little if he played for Georgia.

Gurley is a stud but yeldon is a solid back as well...not as good as gurley but still solid

I agree but a 40 time is literally the exact same thing as break away speed. How fast are you running in a straight line when people are chasing you. It was relevant to the point that was made earlier, but I agree with your point as well.

You seemed pretty sure in your previous post. Did you have time to go look up the actual numbers?

Here are the ones on record right now just so you can be sure before you take this ban bet:

Yeldon:
40 Low: 4.35 40 Time: 4.46 40 High: 4.57
LINK

Gurley:
40 Low: 4.43 40 Time: 4.54 40 High: 4.65
LINK

Because Gurley prefers Cheer over Tide, coffee over teabags, Bonus S over poison, and Wrigley's Doublemint over Skoal.

I am pretty sure of myself. I'm just not going to ban bet over something so trivial as the combine 40 yd dash.

No I did not look up the numbers

A consistently healthy Gurley is the best RB in the country.

The most significant difference, IMO, is the OL between UGA and Bama. Gurley being able to succeed in spite of his bad OL is a big deal, at least to me.

Is it just the fumbles?? Everything else looks pretty much the same to me.

Yep, Yeldon definitely runs too upright into the line leading to ball security issues. And as others have cite, Bama clearly has had the better OL to run behind. Gurley is also a better receiver.

Let's see hmmm....

Gurley plays for a Georgia School check 123

Yeldon plays for a State school that Georgia sold for a sack of beads and can't get a refund.
