Whatever you do, do not stay in Ole Miss Motel. I went to the Egg Bowl with my brother and a few of his friends in 2012. We didn't want to spend a lot of money so we stayed there. We found a homemade crack pipe behind the headboard of the bed made from a coke can and duck tape. Got the room for free for the whole weekend

Why the frick would you ever consider that place. Idc if it's free, it's not worth it.

Book now. They'll fill up fast.
Batesville is about a 30 minute drive down 4 lane highway.
I see a lot of people stay in Grenada and Southaven, too. Both about 1.5 hours at the most.

Thats why Im asking
Do hotels there mandate two night minimums and such as well as charge max rates?

Bout 20 mins. Shouldn't be too much longer on gameday

I'm not sure on the specifics. I just drive in on Gameday.

yeah well, we don't exactly live or frequent Oxford to often so how in the world would we know. I now know to never even look at that place again. Honestly, I don't think I will ever visit Oxford for another Egg Bowl. Y'all have some great fans, but every team has those fans that make you never want to come back. This year might be an exception because that game could decide if one team gets to 10 wins. If I do, I'm going to wear a white plain shirt and possibly come visit one of y'alls tailgates where I know I will be welcomed without a bunch of jackasses tearing me a new a-hole just for being a State student

If you have the cash, I've seen multiple OM fans saying you can pretty much rent apartments for the weekend or something. May want to look into that.

I stayed at the Inn at Ole Miss on business the other week. Great location, but I am pretty sure I was in one of the non-renovated rooms. Pretty poor conditions (When i was in the shower I looked at the wall next to me and there were about 30 long womens hairs sticking to it). I enjoyed the rest of the town, but did not enjoy the room.

For most teams coming from the east, Tupelo is the main destination for motels/hotels. Things are a bit of chaos in Tupelo right now, but things should be better by football season. It is an easy drive into Oxford if you have the early Sat game, and reverse if you have a night game. Tupelo is less than 2 hours from Birmingham via I-22.
The OM football team stays in Tupelo on Friday night. The Auburn band stayed in Tupelo the last time they didn't get to perform at Ole Miss. They did a show in Tupelo the next day.

Tupelo is going to be in for a tough few months. Batesville or New Albany are both close but both are small

I live this daily. The 2 main entrances to my neighborhood are off of Gloster and off of McCullough. The tornado drew a line between those 2 intersections. The Sleep Inn and Quality Inn are goners, but the other inns that are closed now should be back up in a few months. There are still a ton of rooms in Tupelo.

The Holiday inn Express that they are just opening up there has a very cool bar area in the middle of it.

NYC, I always stay in Tupelo, not a bad drive to OM and the hotel rates are better.
