Agreed.

Maybe the PAC 12 schools should all agree to not schedule SEC teams.
Would we care?
Would we care?

The SEC is being well-defended in the comments section.
One guy points out, and rightfully so, asking where the PAC 12 coaches were when the SEC was the only conference playing a Conference Championship game.
Another points out the yearly OoC conference rivals that are played by SCAR, UF and UGA, while the PAC 12 rarely plays tough out of conference non-rival games like Bama, LSU, Tennessee and some others play.
PAC 12 crybabies are going to lose the argument in the comments section.

I think the SEC should play 9 games as well. I hope this abomination of a decision gets cancelled. I will have 3 opportunities to travel to Athens and Knoxville before I'm eligible for social security. It's stupid.

They are right like it or not.

meh
the Pac and B10 going to 9 is nothing more than a two pronged Trojan horse.
on one level, it is simply to increase the value of their conference networks. This is especially important to the Pac b/c they fully own theirs and still need to justify to many carriers (DTV the biggie) why they should pick it up. (the need to create scarcity of product is important to them b/c the current line of reasoning DTV uses against them is you can get plenty of Pac 12 w/o the network.)
the secondary goal is to reduce the amount of chances they can lose OOC thus helping negate claims that their conferences are not as good. Now instead of 4 chances to lose an OOC, they only have 3. Now when their teams suffer losses they can claim it was due to how tough their conference is. This way when somebody on the committee looks at a bubble teams schedule they can say oh, well, the teams they beat aren't really as bad as their record b/c they play that extra conference game. Never mind that extra games against Purdue, Washington State, Utah, Colorado, Indiana etc are no more difficult than the average game against an opponent from the AAC or the MWC. Difference is they can hide behind conference strength when the lesser teams get those upsets. They can't when what are essentially mid majors beat them.

I think they're just pissed because they're afraid SEC teams might start coming after them with that forced game vs a foe from a major conference stipulation.

No they're just a bunch of pussies. They know how tough we are and they want us to beat each other up more than we already have been.
