Austin Golson is leaving the Ole Miss football program. He was in line to start at RT. A thin position just got downright skinny.

For those who don't know, Neal McCready is the rivals writer for Ole Miss.

I've read some rumors that he is going to Auburn. Aubs, have you heard anything about this?

A guy that was going to start is transferring? That doesn't happen everyday.

If he does leave, Auburn would make sense being as he is from Prattville (aside from him not having any felonies or something).

I can't imagine there's much of a transition from Prattville, Al to Oxford, Ms. If he does go to Auburn, he will have to sit a year won't he?

UAB might be a possible destination. Closer to Prattville than Auburn, Tuscaloosa, Troy, and Mobile. Bill Clark used to coach at Prattville.

Wow huge. Hopefully he can transfer to UGA!

Where did these Auburn rumors come from?

quote:

guess he doesn't want to start

Who does Auburn have that's better?

quote:

Can the coaching staff even talk to the kid? I'm guess they can't.

Not until he is formally released with the correct forms signed.

quote:

One of my biggest peeves is when people that age still can't handle leaving home.

Not everyone is capable of it, especially if you don't have friends at where you are.

quote:

Golson has been a whiny bitch since day one because Tunsil is a star and he'll never start over him. Ever.

Why not let Golson play RT? Wasn't that what he played last season?

quote:

He better walk on...

Why? That makes no sense.

quote:

At least make him move to JUCO

That would defeat the purpose of the transfer. No quality JUCOS in Bama. Only one in Ga.

quote:

If someone happens to be sick or whatever, he should quit football and have all of his spare time to sit with them. Then, and only then, would I respect his wishes. If not, then he is fricking lying about wanting to be closer to them.

Yeah that's logical. All or nothing. Idiotic post.

quote:

If he needs to leave so be it but it shouldn't benefit OM's direct competition

Sensible post. As you said earlier, he should have no issue playing FCS or D2.

This thread (and, in particular, dumb shite you say) reminds me why I hate reading about this kind of stuff on this board.
