Chappelle and Hedburg are honestly the only comics that I can say I've never heard them say anything that wasn't funny. They're masters of the craft. Really sucks that one is dead and the other is not doing as much as he used to.
Currently I'm loving Bo Burnham. Dunno if my thread is what your spinoff is of, but yeah...Bo is pretty awesome.

Tosh is an acquired taste, much like Anthony Jeselnik. They are shock comics, not very accessible to a normal person.
As far as new comics go, Matt Braunger is hilarious, his bit about Lonely Man dinners is gold. I also like Gary Gulman, probably the best Jewish comic out there right now. Check out his bit about breakaway rims for the 12 and under Jewish basketball league.
