Your premise is flawed.

The few Kansas fans I know don't care about Mizzou. The Cardinal fans I know don't care about KC. Anecdotal data, I know. But it's all I've got to work with, and you corroborated it on the previous page, but now you're switching up your statements?

I buy the MLB extra innings every year to watch the Royals. They are my AL team. Been to the K to watch the Royals play outside of the Cards playing there.
Im not sure where the "rivalry" came from. May be the beaker contingent, not sure though.

All the kU fans I know hate hate hate Mizzou. I had a cousin stop speaking to me for a couple years because I told some kU jokes and he found them to be insensitive.

All I've ever said is that every single Mizzou fan that is a Cardinal fan and gets mad at kansas fans for being proud of being a fan of a good team should never talk shite about kansas fans, because kansas fans and Cardinals fans are simpatico. They're the same type of people.
Take that however you'd like.
You could say Cards fans are just like beakers, or you could be diplomatic.

Really, most of the Cards fans I know personally view the Royals as the little brother. We might root for them on the side and take note of their box scores on occasion. Maybe catch a game or two. Obviously, we'll root for the cardinals in the I-70 series, but beyond that, there's almost no animosity.
It's comparable to how Mizzou fans will follow SLU on the side, take note of their scores, and catch a few games, but otherwise are uninterested.

They should be proud of their team. They've got an impressive history and consistently win.

And Garfield...well done. Over/Under at 10 pages.

Well, that's the thing. If you're not mad at kansas fan's confidence and shite talking, you're doing it wrong.
The bad thing is, the generally it's all just trolling, in real life and online. They can do it better because kansas wins. Cards fans are the same.
Like I said, same shite.
Do it in baseball? Don't get mad when it's done to you in college sports.
It's probably best the shite dies with kansas given the situation, but never let it be misunderstood...cards fans are jayhawk fans with a penchant for St. Louis baseball instead of kansas basketball.

But, I'm also not personally mad about Kansas because they are no longer a factor in Mizzou sports. We aren't in a conference with them and we don't play them. I couldn't care any less about the Jayhawks. They might as well be Division 2 or be playing soccer, I'm not going to care.

As a Cards fan(lifetime) I don't hate any Royals fan just because they are Royals fans, now if they are a beaker/Royals fan, that's another kettle of rotten fish.

Yea, If we are talking average/bellow fan I guess I can see them buying into the contrived "rivalry" between the Cards and Royals.
I dont buy into that personally and neither does the "crew" I grew up with. Back then there was a distinct difference between the NL and AL. Dont know, I have followed the Royals for years as my secondary team so I guess I dont feel the rivalry.

Cubs fan jealous!
My disdain for Kansas fans has nothing to do with how good their basketball team is, but everything to do with the name on the front of the jersey. I think most of us admit they have a great history.
And if you find a Kansas fan that gloats about their football team the same way, well they're just a special kind of stupid.

I know more than a few baseball fans who have an AL team and an NL team. I personally don't, but if I had to pick an AL team, gun-to-my-head, I'd pick the Royals.

I harbor no ill will towards any teams, unless they are playing the Cardinals.
I'm sure if the Royals and Cardinals played in the WS again, I'd probably hate them for a week or two depending on the outcome.
KC seemed like a whole different state to me growing up, that and the whole AL thing made them seem foreign to me. I was too busy hating the Mets back then anyway.

We were never thought of as obnoxious until our last two WS wins.

I don't either, and I'm not involved in any of these outside rivalries being from Chicago. I will say that Cards fans to act a lot like kansas fans during the whole thing though. The whole superiority thing is very beakerish.
Admit that the Cards should have superiority over the Royals is akin to saying the Jayhawks should have superiority over the Tigers.
It may be true in both cases, but those on the other side will always hate you.
It's obvious, but the way you handle the superiority doesn't have to make the oppsition hate you.
Cards fans like using the success against the Royals, yet the same Cards fans will get all cock bent about the beaker bitches doing the same.
Well said.

Also true. Deadspin shits all over the Cards on a regular basis
I don't dislike Cardinals fans as people, but I don't like them as fans. Yes your team is better than mine. Yes I'm jealous. There is no need to constantly remind me how much my team blows or to act like a douche about how superior you are due to the fact you support a better team.

Outside of the ribbing on here, which shouldn't be taken seriously, are there Cards fans in your personal dealings that constantly remind you how much your team blows?
I work with a Royals fan, and I've never once felt the need to remind him that I'm a Cards fan. Sometimes we discuss the sad state of affairs at Kaufman over the years, but I don't interject, "Yep, the cardinals are superior."
I think you're a touch sensitive when it comes to your Royals, either that or the perceived inferiority complex KC has is reality rather than perception.
