I don't think Tubs has the energy/fire in the belly to jump back into the SEC fire pit again.

He was underappreciated at TT. I don't blame TT fans for being mad about the lawsuit and how the Leach stuff went down, but Tubs was a coach that could have really solidified them as a competitive program and gotten around to doing stuff that was foreign to Leach (developing benefactors, growing the footprint, etc.). He probably wouldn't have won as much at any point, but he was the yin to Leach's yang that TT probably needed to really move from a gimmicky program to a legitimate major conference contender.

So anyway, I don't blame Tubs for wanting to get out of that situation, where nobody appreciated what he brought to the table.

under-appreciated my arse. He had exactly 0 winning seasons in conference play.

that was after 10 years of Leach who had exactly 1 losing season in conference.

BTW, Spike Dykes, their previews coach, only had 1 losing season in conference in 14 years as HC. In his 4 of Big 12 play he had none.

You probably can't read, so I'll explain.

There is a part in my post that you quoted where I explain that Tubs probably would have not won at the rate of Leach, at any point. Have a friend find it for you.

Next, you'll look back at your post, and see that the disparity between the bulk of Leach's time at TT and Tub's tenure is minimal.

by gimmick system do you mean the HUNH spread offense that nearly the entire Big 12 now uses and has now moved into the SEC?

Again, how the hell was he under appreciated when he wasn't winning as much as Leach?

He wasn't making their brand any better by getting passed by Baylor in the conference. He wasn't really recruiting any better. He wasn't doing anything better than Leach and he was butthurt people called him out on it.

and no, the disparity isn't minimal. Tubs was given a program that had already moved up a notch in conference and he let it fall right back down to Spike Dykes level. (at best)

He had a 9-17 in conference record in 3 years. That's a little more than half the losses Leach had in 10. Anyone who had watched Tech over the years could tell Tubs was not getting the job done.
