It's funny how young you guys are in this thread. And I'm not even that old from an Auburn perspective. Anyway, Cox doesn't belong anywhere near a top 5 QB list. I'd personally go Reggie Slack as 5th.

Fullwood should be second behind Bo for me as far as best Rb goes, but I can see the argument for Caddy from a overall stats perspective. James Brooks, Tucker Fredrickson, Joe Cribbs, Stephen Davis all belong on a top 5 RB list above Mason, Brown, and Tate. While Tre was a very good back for us, you are confusing his skillset with Gus's offense putting him in awesome spots. Bo, Fullwood, or Brooks would have put up Tecmo numbers in Gus's offense.

Karstan Bailey #1 over Beasley? Anyway Beasley is #1, I'd say Frank Sanders and Lawyer Tillman should be the next two, followed by maybe some combo of Taylor, Freddie Weygand, or Shayne Wasden.

I'd put Ed King and Willie Anderson over Simmons or Gandy on the OL list, but we've had a ton of good OL over the years so it's hard to quibble too much on top 5 lists there.

DL is another tough one. I'd put Doug Smith, Benji Roland, Ron Stallsworth, Ben Thomas, Gary Walker and Gerald Williams above Groves and Ford by a bit.

At LB Thomas really doesn't belong on there to me. Kurt Crain would be in my 5, he was a beast. Greg Carr probably as well. Quentin Riggins and Craig Ogletree being right behind.

At CB Calvin Jackson and Kevin Porter are two of the best we've had, I'd put both ahead of Irons/Powers/Lee. Corey Barlow was also 2 time All SEC for us back in the late 90s.

At safety I'd put Tommy Powell up near the top of the list. I'd probably put Brian Robinson on there as well.

None of the kickers on your list could sniff the kickers we had in the 80s and 90s jocks. Al Del Greco tops the list by any measure, and I'd put Scott Etheridge and Jim Von Wyl up there as well.

Wes Byrum is as good as anyone we've had. I agree Al Del Greco is up there though.

Beasley was voted up to #1 spot while you were typing.

Tre Mason may be the most criminally underrated player on this board. He put up 1000 yards in a Scott LoLlfer offense on a 3-9 team with a weak Oline and no passing game. 1000 yards!

You are dead on. And you are right about Kurt Crain- he was a hell of a linebacker.
