Is he really that good? I will even admit, I might feel different if this were someone who had already been at Mizzou for 3 years, like a English. As it is though, because I care so little about him I'd just as soon not have the headaches.

Reedus, you confuse me a lot with your posts. Why play a higher standard card on the kid and then act like if he was really good or had been here longer you would treat him different? How about fair and consistent? If he has a felony, he will be gone. If it is all a misdemeanor, he will get a suspension. If he has had other trouble and has exhausted his strikes, he will be gone. IDK the situation but this is the only problem with Price I can remember.

Thugs gonna thug I guess. Price needs to go. End of story.

Semo, if college kids getting in fights, damaging property, smoking weed, and not paying rent are thugging it up and some need to be gone - I am curious what you were thinking just a few years ago when we had players getting accused of rape, getting DUIs, getting shot in the ankle during fights, pulling shotguns on people, etc? You must have been wanting to shut down the program.

Chasing people down is planned behavior. Ramming their car is assault with a deadly weapon. Hitting them is also assault. We have 2 incidents in less than 24 hours. That goes way beyond a heat-of-the-moment fight, it was planned assaults. Plural. Based on what we've heard, and the bails that were set, I'm guessing he's facing felonies. So yeah, he should be gone, IMO.

As far as then other things you mentioned, my positions have always been pretty clear. I have no tolerance for sexual assault, or felonies. I also have no patience with guys who are a cancer in the locker room. Those are the reasons I would boot a player. In this case, I can't imagine Price is going to bet along in the locker room, and these will likely be felony charges. If it ends up as misdemeanors, I'd still lean toward dismissal for the locker room cancer reason.

I was admitting my shortcomings. Fully admitted it's a double standard and not necessarily fair. Still doesn't change the fact that I have no attachment to Price and therefore it probably takes less for me to be willing to say goodbye. It's kind of like breaking up with a gal after 1 date as opposed to one you dated for 3 years.

The athletic program of a state university shouldn't be a halfway house or a military academy. There's thousands and thousands of athletes who manage to make it through college without raping people or getting $2700 behind on rent or getting arrested for drugs or DUI. Lowering our expectations just means that the athletes will continue to lower their standards of behavior.
