Of course. All of these rankings are subjective. There's some arktard who would rank Bert over Gus based on losing a bunch of rose bowls.

Richt hasn't won multiple SEC championships? Nobody cares about losing title games..

And Gus Malzahn, at least, made it to the BCS National Championship Game.

1) Saban - no explanation necessary
2) Miles - no argument can be made for Miles not being top three in SEC.
3) Spurrier - would be second but he can't beat a Miles coached LSU team.
4) Richt - respect for Richt. Great coach and has quietly amassed a very impressive résumé at UGA.
5-14 who cares

Tell that to the UGA fans that want him gone for not even getting them there.

I agree Gus is solidly at 5. But I can't rank him over those other 4.

Didn't notice any other coordinators on the list.. Hell, put Kirby at #2 then..

Gus is too high and Muschamp is too low.

Show us a crystal ball Richt. I think even UGA fans would argue this

Ummm yes it will, this year will tell us a lot if he is actually capable of taking us to 10 wins with a roster that is made up of his own developed talent.
What happens if he only wins 9? They cut a float from the parade?

Hey UGA fans, this guy said Gus did more in one season than Richt has in his career.. There ya go
Posted on 4/1/14 at 6:42 pm to thirdlawson
Flip Richt and Les and I really don't have a problem with it, tbh.

Jury is still out for me on Gus. Richt has proven he can sustain an elite program year after year (as have Saban, Miles, and Spurrier).
Talent and coaching alone won't get you to the title game; a fair amount of luck is needed, too. Richt and UGA haven't had nearly the luck in a decade AU had in one season to get to the title game.

When did Kirby Smart do that, or even become a head coach?

Mark Richt has won two SEC titles in 13 years, the last one being 9 years ago. Gus won one in his first year. But Richt has maintained success which is an argument that Gus doesn't have the data to compare yet. An argument could be made for both, which is why I tiered them together...not above or below.
Looking at it career wise, Spurrier is obviously above both. But I look at these rankings as how good of a coach are they right now. And while Spurrier is still very good, he's not the same coach he was in Gainesville. Dude just got old. That being said, I could make an argument either way for Gus/Spurrier, which is why I tiered them.

Your post gave him a SEC title as a coordinator. That poster had every right to call you out.

Spurrier gets too much credit for his Florida days when it comes to being the coach at USCe. Is he a good coach? Of course he is but come the frick on.
