Ethical? There are crazy people out there. I've got a messed up knee, I can't run. I should be able to defend my life.
6 people in China just killed 29 people and injured another 140 with knives. We're really good at killing each other, and if you take away guns, we'll just find a more barbaric way.

People have been killing people since all they had were rocks to throw at each other. Evil doers will do evil, however they can.
