If they were to do that, they would crack down much harder on sneaking in your own stuff.

I hadn't thought about that, but you're right

When this issue has come up before I could not really find anything about it except that it appears that the SEC has a policy/preference for no alcohol sales except for limited sales to premium members. LINK
I don't know that this policy is published anywhere and it has been questioned whether the SEC could actually forbid alcohol sales. As best I can tell it is up to each individual school and facility whether and under what circumstances to permit the sales and essentially those that have permitted it have gone along with the so called policy.
The NCAA does ban sales at its sanctioned championship games.

I doubt it. They don't want people sneaking in stuff now, I doubt it would change much. A floppy flask in your pants would still get through security at these games

Univ of Texas has started doing it. They are the 4th or 5th school in the state doing it. People are limited to 3 beers. Given how crowded stadiums are, how limited concession stands are, if you wanted to actually see the game and not spend too much time in the restroom lines, you would be hard pressed to buy 3 individual beers at different times.

People are limited to 3 beers.
But unless you have the guys going down aisles selling beer, I doubt I'm going to the concession stand 3 times a game.

They most certainly would. I would rather sneak my own booze in

The last thing I want to do is wait in line for 20 minutes to get a $9 beer that is all foam, and warm, and gives me the runs.
Learn how to pour coca cola first, then consider moving up to different types of beverages.

Isn't SC's stadium off campus? They finally have something going for them.

That's correct. In the abandoned factory district.

They give you a plastic bracelet with three beer tabs when you enter the event. In theory you have to pull a tab off in the presence of the cashier when you buy a beer. So you have a chance at three beers. It doesn't always work that well. There are ways around it but you just don't have time to get that many

If alcohol sales were allowed inside, not nearly as many people would bring their own in.

I wish they would bring it back to the club at WLOCP.

what they have done to that game during Adams and the UF pres' tenure is criminal..we would go tailgate off of Gate 3 at Victoria street and get hammered if we wished, then go watch the game on the outside bigscreen, drinking beer and eating brats, etc...BUT NOOOO the last few years they eliminated alcohol outside of the stadium and even stopped providing available chairs for outside. we stayed on Amelia as normal but didn't even bother with going to the stadium this past game and I bet a bunch of other folk did the same and now the vendors are bitching at sales loss...
so now they might allow sales inside the stadium...go the frick ahead you assholes...
ps-a few years back Bama played FSU at the beginning of the season in Jax and they had alcohol vendors everywhere inside and outside of the stadium.

Huh?
This is basic logic 101 type stuff here. There is only one, singular reason why people bring alcohol into games now, and that is due to a lack of other options when it comes to drinking. If another option is presented, the people sneaking alcohol in will decrease.
Now that's not to say it won't happen. The people who bring in 750 ml of whiskey because they like getting absolutely blackout shitcanned will probably still continue to do so. However, the people who may only bring in 1 mini, the people who just want to continue a small buzz going, will be perfectly content with this alternative. So my original statement

If alcohol sales were allowed inside, not nearly as many people would bring their own in.
Is true. What exactly do you disagree with?

False. Strike Two.
You don't know much about Sanford Stadium, apparently.

I've never been there so you are correct, however I have been to many football games in my life and what I'm saying is basic, common sense that is applicable anywhere.
And are you actually going to engage in good natured discussion and refute the points I'm making, or just continue to act like a child with some asinine rating system? OOPS I guess that's strike 3..good thing you aren't a mod and don't count for anything.
