He won't get the 10 second rule but two things are going to happen that will be a win win.
One...the officials are going to take control. They will not rush to hurry up and set the ball for play anymore. What is going to happen is they will control the pace of play and not allow the snap until all the zebras are in position and ready.
Might as well BE a 10 second rule these HUNH coaches can frantically yell go go go jump up and down and do what they do and it isn't going to matter. It definitely HAS affected it before.
On top of that something is about to pass that will further control the game. An 8 th official.
Another set of eyes to catch all the illegal motion illegal formations and illegal plays some of the HUNH teams get away with.
So Saban wins the debate. He will get all of what he really wants.

You don't have to like it but this is what is going to happen.
And I was NOT in favor of changing the rules.

They might have I don't think he scored either. They might even have caught the blatant Robinson hold on the miracle pass too.

Make fun if you wish but these changes will slow down the HUNH no doubt about it.
Just do like the NFL does the officials control the pace of play they did not let Chip Kelly come in push them around and force the pace.
Some college crews have let this happen.

This is what is done in the NFL to control the pace. As long as defenses have enough time to sub between plays, I don't really care how they manage it. The only problem I see is potential inconsistency from one group of officials to the next. If you have some officials, that start play quickly then defenses could still be fricked with substitution penalties.
