Just claimed that Brodie Croyle was surrounded by 1st round talent and that's why he looked so good out of college. He went on to say the same about AJ and "all those Alabama guys".
After Alabama's thrashing of ND Colin was all about Saban and how great o a coach he was. Now after a missed FG for TD he claims Gus is the greatest thing to happen to football in years and Nick system is out dated lol... Dude is a fence rider who just flows with whats hot. Also a liberal pussy but that's all of media.

He's terrible. So glad I don't have to listen to his shite up here in Idaho.

Journalism is dead.
Brodie was one of two offensive players drafted from that 2005 team.

Brodie was surrounded by some damn good talent. Prothro, DJ Hall, Brown. We had a pretty good OL (outside of RT). LeRon McClain, Casteel, Preinjury Darby, Beard, Williams maybe? He definitely had some underrated talent around him.
However, I don't see why people get all worked up about what guys like Finebaum and Cowherd say. If you don't like them, quit complaining and quit listening.

two of those guys were more interested in smoking weed than anything else, and the third one works at a bank

Can you blame him? He gets paid to say things like that so listeners like you will post here and get others listeners to tune in.
I started doing coke
...so I could make more money
...so I could work longer hours
...so I could buy more coke
Do you see a trend?

We did something about Cowherd here. We quit listening and they axed him.

The frick does this have to do with anything?
I honestly can't believe you just said that. The guy was in the running for the heisman before his injury.

Wasn't Hall our all-time leading receiver when he graduated?
Brown was blazing fast and made some clutch catches.

Prothro? it means he got hurt and couldnt fulfill his potential.
as for Hall, he might have been the leading receiver when he left, but it was because we hadnt had an offense that threw the ball that much. he certainly wasnt the best WR we'd ever had. Plus, DJ did most of his work with JPW at QB.
Brown was great at running one route, and Brodie could certainly get it to him because he had a cannon. But Keith Brown was essentially a taller Kenny Bell.

For years, Cowherd's show was produced by total A-hole and Auburn alum Chadd Scott. Scott is never shy about his hatred for the University of Alabama. I'm sure it rubbed off on Cowherd over the years.
Cowherd never gives Alabama it's due, unless Alabama had done something embarrassing, then he's all over it. His only praise for anything Alabama is for Nick Saban, and that is given begrudgingly.
Finebaum interviewed Scott once on his old JOX show. Scott had previously worked at JOX as a producer. Finebaum finished by saying that he didn't understand how Scott stayed employed at JOX for long, considering his public statements about Alabama.
In thr end, Cowherd and Chadd Scott are both just like Brando, they envy the success Alabama has had in continually raising itself from the dead to compete for and win championships.

There is a difference between talent and 1st round talent
Posted on 2/24/14 at 12:10 pm to NewtonCoTide646
Eh, let him talk. He's a wanna be Jim Rome. Difference is Rome knows when to man up and admit he's wrong. This is the same guy that said Alabama would never win another championship because of the loss to Utah. If AJ is good enough to play in the NFL he'll get drafted and have a chance to prove it. Guys like Cowherd are hire for entertainment value, not their expert analysis. You think he breaks down film and sees advantages and flaws in players? Pfft.
