Only the third time since 2003 that the BaseVols have started off at 7-0 (2003 & 2012). The last time they started this strong, they lost 8 of their next 11. Is this the year that Serrano's program turns the corner?

doubt it. just being honest.

I like Serrano a lot. I wish we had him.

I'd say it is too early to tell, but there has been a dramatic turnover on the roster since last season. I just want them to make the SEC tournament, for Pete's sake.

also if they do make a turnaround please stop using terms like basevols. nothing screams softball more.

Probably won't know much about Tennessee until they play that series @ Arizona State in a couple weeks.

Maybe not even then. ASU is starting off a bit slow this season. Right now, they are 3-4...but their early schedule has been pretty tough. Their only ugly loss was the 7-1 loss to New Mexico...

I would say that a 11-0 loss to Long Beach State after Vandy had their way with them in a 3 game sweep in Cali would qualify as a bad loss for Arizona State.

I hadnt paid a ton of attention to ASU yet this year. Doesnt look like they belong in the top 25. Didnt realize they were struggling.

I still don't think that LBS is a "bad team". I would say that they are another talented team that has gotten off to a bad start. I couldn't say the same for New Mexico....but, in hindsight...you could probably chalk both up as bad losses.

Yes, the Vols have a good opportunity ahead of them this year.

Agreed. ASU doesn't sound too great so far. Still, a series win or sweep against ASU would be impressive for the Vols.
I'm impressed with them so far.

Bound to be closer to it than the FootVols were or BasketVols have been this year.
