This is what happens when you’re on top and everyone is chasing. This is what happens when there’s a fresh cut and everyone smells blood.
As I posted, the myth of this is a much better story than the complicated truth

Of course. Like the article said, you like the myth

Author misses the point. Does Saban need another advantage? Of course not.
Will he take it if he can get it though? You bet your fat arse he will.

Hayes claims HUNH wasn't reason for iron bowl loss. He needs to go back and watch.
Bama was up 21-7, auburn went nascar and scored right before the half. We did same thing first drive second half to tie the game. This was the difference in the game if you ask me.
Most of our 296 yds rushing was a by product of HUNH. Anybody who thinks saban isn't doing this because he wants an advantage is downright ignorant.

So the author has decided if you call it a myth over and over the sheep will begin to believe.
I see you've found your place in the flock.

The only myth is that these proposed rules changes have anything to do with safety.
Where is the evidence that shows that not snapping the ball before 10 seconds will result in fewer injuries? Show me the evidence that HUNH offenses cause more injuries. Let's see hard evidence, then maybe people will buy it. Let me save you the trouble, there is no evidence.
It's as simple as this; the HUNH gives Saban fits. Everyone knows it. He knows that he can still win because he has a decided talent advantage built up right now. He knows that in a few years, once the likes of Auburn build their teams up with comparable talent to Bama, he'll start getting his doors blown off. He CAN learn to stop it, but he's too old to change. So he wants to do the next best thing, change the rules.

Some people are still bothered by this. Wow

yeah, pretty much Saban is too lazy to learn new tricks.
ETA: Change "tricks" to strategy. Saban is still good at tricks.

It's a discussion son. No reason to get bent out of shape over adults talking here.

Matt Hayes has been sucking up to Saban for a few years now. I heard him on Finebaum today and I thought it was Cecil Hurt talking. He said that bama should be preseason #1 because they have Coker and everyone back.

No. It's what happens when you're no longer on top and can't cope. You try to change the game.
