Bama. With Landry and OBJ gone, who will Jennings have to throw to?

You're right

LSU is lining up a bunch of OL at WR this year

Travin Dural will be a heck of a WR.

Quantavius Leslie is a freak. I guess we will see if that translates.

Trey Quinn should fit right in at slot WR.

I didn't say LSU receivers are going to suck. I was asked to compare who is better positioned to succeed and Amari Cooper and Deandrew White are PROVEN receivers.

Quinn could play outside too, if needed. He's physical enough, and he's fast.

No doubt. I just think the slot is his best position and he'd be an animal there.

Fair enough. However, your post was: "with Landry and OBJ gone, who will Jennings have to throw to?"

And Jennings/Rettig et al will have:
Travin Dural, Quantavious Leslie, Jarrett Fobbs,
Avery Peterson (Patrick's little bro), John Diarse, Kevin Spears, Trey Quinn, Tony Upchurch, Dillon Gordon, Logan Stokes, DeSean Smith, Travis Dickson and whoever signs with us next Wednesday (including Malachi Dupre hopefully).........
to """""""throw to."""""""""

Travin Dural and Travis Dickson are the only "proven" ones who caught passes last year (we also graduated three other graduating Senior WRs who caught passes.)

But I would venture to guess that the young reciever corps of 12-15 WRs/TEs we have will probably be able to "prove" themselves during the year.
And of course that's not counting our backs Hilliard, Magee, Bama legacy Neighbors and the top recruit nationally in high school Leonard Fournette, who chose Louisiana State over bama.

BTW, are receivers at other schools allowed to "prove themselves", or is that universe only inhabitated by bama receivers ?????????

You do know he named Bama's two starting WRs from last year, and the guys who started a lot of games (White did before he got hurt, Coop did after) the year before, right?

Dural and Dickson combined for 12 catches for 254 yards in 2013. Amari Cooper and DeAndrew White combined for 12 catches for 260 yards in the last game they played.

Okaaaaaay. Does that automatically mean that Dural, Dickson and the other 12 receivers returning for LSU will like, have stone hands and run routes like blind men ???????
Goody for you, Cooper and White are "proven".
Jesus Christ, are only Bama receivers allowed to be "proven." ???????????????????
Our young receivers might not have the numbers that those 2 do, but I think they will contribute more and more as they gain experience next year.....

No, anyone can be proven. But LSU fans above all else should know about calling players proven. Yes, you have guys with talent, but what have they done at this level? Remember when y'all said the same thing about guys like Yeldon, Cooper, Lacy, etc?

I'm sure someone will step up, but as of now no one has proven to be able to. There is nothing wrong with being excited about the potential, though.

Yeah. I mean, position wise, I feel like LSU is better off. They've got a guy who, albeit is not very good, has some starting experience at the D1 level, then Jennings, Rivers who's been in the program for awhile, and two extremely talented guys in Rettig and Harris.
Aren't you guys forgetting Sims at Alabama? He's had more snaps than the others, right?

Receivers don't really matter, OP asked about the QB position.

He may have more snaps than Rivers, but LSU has more experience in depth, and may have better prospects.

Better prospects? Cornwell, Coker, and Bateman are some pretty damn good prospects.
