Jacob Coker was also, apparently, the fourth best quarterback on Florida State's roster last year as well. EJ Manuel and Clint Tricket were the #1 and #2, and we all found out that Jameis Winston was better than him this year. So, basically, he was the fourth string quarterback...

He deserves a chance to prove himself and all, but he's done nothing, high school or college, to prove that he is some kind of exceptional quarterback, or anything to be overly excited for.

You can thank Randy Sanders for the Coker hype right now.

To be fair, St Pauls ran a Wing T right after AJ left which really hampered Coker's recruitment. There just wasn't enough film of him throwing the football to warrant any interest. FSU got him in camp and they were blown away by his arm strength. Credit Jimbo and staff for getting on him early. Alabama tried after seeing his Senior film, but it was too late.

Auburn fans of all people should reserve judgement IMO. The QB that just took your team to the BCSNCG was a Safety coming out of high school. Sometimes kids just get looked over.

You always should be excited about a guy with the size, arm, and athleticism. Is he accurate? Does he have the intangibles? Don't know, but we don't know with any of our options so it's all up in the air.

Then why are we going on NINE pages (mostly Auburn posts) about him going to Alabama?..It's either the Auburn and LSU people are scared to death (again, whistling past the graveyard), or they are completely obsessed with Alabama....or both. Just fess up guys!
In parting I'll say again, worry about your own program and not one that you have absolutely NO control over. Alabama will be there when the dust clears...will y'all?
