Maybe we are better than what you and a lot of Ranters give us credit for.
You're really not. You're middle of the pack in the SEC east most years. The east was just terrible last year. It's an anomaly when UF, UT, and UGA all suck as much as they did in the same year.

I'm surprised you haven't mentioned bad refs or the grass at Neyland.

You may also notice I didn't mention Vandy (or Kentucky).
Mainly because nothing bothers me regarding Vandy (or Kentucky) at the moment.
Thanks!

Bah. Alabama is in the SECW. They are your problem. If you can't handle your own backyard, don't come whining to me.
They're being handled, division wise. They've only been to Atlanta for the seccg one time in the last four years.

That's kind of my thinking. Plus, he is going to have to fight past a ton of talent as we recruit the QB position very well. So he may not work out and he may never see the field at UGA.
But his H.S. film is outstanding and his skill set is exactly what our coaches typically look for in a QB.
I think for him it will come down to what's between the ears.
Park's strongpoint is what is between his ears ... he has a good football mind in his skull.
What he has to do is learn to play within his limitations and not worry about winning every game but rather just concentrate on not losing games. He'll be presented with his share of big play opportunities over the course of his career ... and besides, he might make a helluva SS if he doesn't cut it at QB. He's got excellent field awareness.

If you're right about that ^^^ then I think he'll be a good one.

People who confuse "good" and "well".

Up until the time we got lost in the wilderness in the 80s' and most of the 90s', we were a pretty consistent and steady winner.
No offense, but the numbers say this:
Winning Percentage 1869-1979
Alabama 73%
Tennessee 68%
Louisiana State 65%
Georgia 61%
Auburn 60%
Arkansas 59%
Mississippi 59%
Vanderbilt 58%
Texas A&M 58%
Missouri 57%
...which would have put Missouri at 10th in the conference in win% through 1979.
Perhaps not as good historically as you might have thought. If you want to be in the Big6, you gotta get that win% over 60% minimum.

I'm not sure why so many of my fellow Gamecock fans think Park is going to tank at UGA
I don't think he will tank. I just don't think he will be a consitent starter for UGA. I am no expert, just my opinion. I watched him several times, not just the all star game. In the SC state championship he wasn't the best QB on the field IMO. Not by a long shot. His team got beat pretty bad too. Not bashing the guy and for all I know, with some good coaching, might win the Heisman.

Top 12? Does that mean you were #12? Seems odd.

Both will be busts.
AJ Green and Alshon Jeffrey on the same team would have just been unfair. God couldn't allow it

Fair enough, but where in that winning percentage disclaims us from being a "pretty consistent and steady winner"? 57% isn't great but isn't horrendous either. Look, I never said, or think for that matter, we are some elite football program. I would be delusional to think that, but winning 7 to 10 games a year consistently and the occasional ride to the top of our division is a pretty reasonable expectation and within reach.

FWIW op, I love Helen Hunt. May she stay for a long while.
And we love Muschamp. Who do YOU think is the better coach?

Two things:
1. I've liked Mizzou ever since they got raped on 5th down by the Bisons. Before that, they weren't on my radar.
2. You won't see me shite talk Mizzou because they currently hold the series lead over LSU, 1 - 0.
I'm not trying to dog the Tigers, just saying that often times perceived historical prowess can become exaggerated. Just wanted to put Mizzou's past into an SEC team's perspective. Yes, it's a strong history, but it's more of a Vandy/Mississippi strong as opposed to a Auburn/Georgia strong.
After all, USCe has a horrible history. I mean in some 20 tries they've only beaten LSU twice, and one of those was back in the 1920's! But that has no bearing on what Spurrier is doing over there right now. And going forward, I don't see Mizzou as getting anything but better - at least better than Vandy and Mississippi.

We'll talk again in a couple of years, however.
