MSU acts like it belongs in the SEC

Collins is a pretty good defensive coordinator, but MSU was paying him $290k.
Florida State expresses interest, and MSU gives him a 2 year, 1.2 million contract.
Normally, MSU lets their assistants leave. This is what the rest of the SEC does. Glad we stepped up and paid the man what he's worth.

I was expecting an anti-MSU thread when I saw the title.
Yeah, I am glad we stepped up and paid the big bucks. It seems like we finally decided to try to compete. We are still behind almost everyone else, but progress is being made.

Damn what do you pay your position coaches?

Don't get me started. This is the first time in school history we have ever paid an assistant coach more than $300,000.

I'm glad they did, too. I want to see FSU lose a few this season.

They were willing to pay Cam more than their coaches.

To be fair, it was only his first year ever being the sole DC for anyone.
Still I'm glad we stepped up to the plate because he's a badass. To have the number of freshmen and sophmores we had this year and to be in the top 30 scoring, passing, and rushing defense is impressive.

Still got another couple hundred K worth of raises to give out that haven't been officially announced.
MSU assistant pay was 41st last year and is expected to jump into the mid 20s this year -- which is about where we should be at this point.
