Damn! 6'3" or 6'5" (can't tell) who runs a mid 4.4? I like it!

hope he gets the Barner Bump on the recruiting sites

81 inch wingspan whaaaaaaaaaa... ??!?!?

This kid is just now catching up athletically to his frame. His 3*-83 ranking is as a Safety. He blew up our camp and the UF camp recently. Not saying he jumps all the way to a 4*, but I bet he winds up close.

He obviously can't catch or he would be a WR. With that height, speed, and wing span though, he can dang sure knock the ball down.

Not sure if you were responding to me? Or was that supposed to be a funny and I whiffed on it?
Posted on 7/24/14 at 2:05 pm to jrljr
I think it was a funny/probably statement of fact.

You were just the last one who posted. How did my post correspond to your post in any way?

Fun fact, same wingspan as Jason Pierre-Paul

Is he a corner or a safety?

Testing legitimacy in question obviously, but...
Why would the staff or assistants have any reason not to put 100% accurate info in there? I can understand if 40 times were hand timed and off a bit. But vertical jump, height weight and wingspan should have no reason being off.

I can't get excited about this kid don't like his highlights at all... obviously the coaches do though so I'm cool with it

Kid is definitely a project, no doubt there. However, with those types of measurables, the sky is literally the limit for him.
Guy on the Recruiting board said he has always been a track guy, so he still has a lot to learn about football.
ETA: Junior Season
Looking at the highlight, it is exactly what you would expect. Great height and physicality, but lacks polish and isn't efficient in his movements. All very correctable things.

Mhhm.. looks very timid / hesitent / awkward when he's approaching a play / ball carrier
Posted on 7/24/14 at 3:40 pm to AUtigR24
I wouldn't say that. He seemed good when coming up to make the hit/take on a defender. Where he needs work is turning his hips and running with receivers. He is definitely one that has not grown into his frame yet.

Extremely similar to Raashed Kennion last class. Seems like our coaches like taking a couple raw, super-athletic prospects in each class. I'm fine with it considering the amount of polished (relatively speaking) prospects we're getting

Yep. Perfect type of prospect for Melvin Smith to work his magic on. With Bessent and Ruffin in the last class, this kid should have the time available to develop.
This is the type of recruiting Tuberville did, minus the polished prospects

Hope we don't give up on Darious Slayton. Would of rather grabbed him
