Because we lack similar talent? We are currently absolutely loaded at the skill positions

No one in college football has that kind of talent right now. So yes, Alabama does not have that kind of talent (especially relative to their competition).

Kiffen is good at recruiting. Would have preferred them hire someone who doesn't get recruits to lie about committing and switch on nod to screw your class.

You're saying that Saban hired/interviewed Kiffin for a position that wasn't open at the time?

Uh...pretty sure we almost just had that happen and he wasn't there. That's a kid problem.

We may not be that talented, but we are not far off. The big difference obviously being the QB position.

We saw what a healthy Amari Cooper could do and we have been recruiting like crazy at that position.

Yeldon/Henry/Drake is a deadly combination at RB.

Compared to Knoxville? The place that gets rated basically annually as one of the ugliest campuses in the country?

Honestly I think it's kind of arrogant of Saban. The guy has a ton of baggage and questions. There are plenty of good playcallers and OC's who would love to be at Bama.

There is a risk Kiffin could be a disaster. Why take this unnecessary risk? Especially when we're rebuilding (rebuilding by our standards).

It could be a total disaster. It could be a smashing success.

Odds are it'll be meh. Still, I don't like the risk.

Big difference in the level of competition too. Reggie Bush was truly unreal in college, dude averaged near 7.3 ypc over his career and is top-10 in yardage in NCAA history.. with only 14 starts. He's one of those players that come along every 20 years.. not just a 5* guy like Yeldon. There are guys like Yeldon every single year.

I wish we had that kind of talent on offense in the SEC.. Darren McFadden is probably the closest we've come since Bush played. I think we've had better defensive players than the rest of the world.. guys like Patrick Peterson, Eric Berry, Rolando, etc. Just not on offense.

Yea cause they clearly lived on campus. Knoxville is a much better place to live than Tuscaloosa.
