South Carolina beat the Fiesta, Orange, and Cotton bowl winners, whose final records were 12-1, 11-2, 12-2.
Lost to Tennessee.

Reminds me of Mizzou in the '70s. We would go on the road and beat Alabama or Notre Dame, then lose to Iowa State the following weekend.....bizarre.

Yeah but LSU didn't lose to a scrub team.
