We've won 3 national championships since he's been in Tuscaloosa, he's paid appropriately. We aren't supposed to win every single game.

I suppose so.

But I'm beginning to wonder how much stems from shear talent opposed to scheming and gameday coaching abilities. He seems stubborn as frick.

I don't think anyone has ever accused Saban of being the best gameday coach around, or even one of the best when he has equal or nearly equal talent. His greatness stems from being a phenomenal recruiter, which gives him an overwhelming talent advantage in nearly every game.

That's obviously the most important aspect of college coaching.

A lot.....but who recruits and signs that talent? Saban is still the best recruiter in the nation if not always the best gameday coach.
