Bama's obsession with beating LSU (and the resulting schematic and personnel decisions) has left them extremely vulnerable to others.

Well, there's no denying that Bama has played like garbage pretty much every time they've suited up since the LSU game, and Nick/AJ celebrated more than they have for either NC win.
LSU was the last (second) hurtle in their mind on the year, and everyone in the program looked like they prepared accordingly as a result.
I don't think they took Auburn seriously.

False.
It was the traditional SEC offenses as a whole, not LSU. The migration to the spread will cause for Saban to adjust some by recruiting more personnel in the DB slots.

Maybe. You could also say Lord Saban was out-coached the last 2 straight games.

I think there is some truth to this, but there is also some truth to LSU not being able to adjust to this.

You don't think they took their in state rival standing between them, the SEC, and MNC seriously?
That's pretty damn disrespectful to both of those team and a whole bunch of wrong.

LSU is obsessed with beating A&M. There's no question about that.

Not to the level that they take and have taken LSU as a challenger the last few years.

I'd argue that LSU has sacrificed a bit of its ability to stop Alabama's downhill running attack and massive OLs for lighter faster defenses that have excelled more than any other in CFB at containing and stopping HUNH.
LSU has the opposite of the problem posed in OP.

It's just not that difficult for LSU to beat A&M. Ole Miss and Bama are the tricky ones.

I don't doubt that Bama gets really geared up for LSU but to think they get less geared up for Auburn is incorrect.

Why? We were even able to beat you with Jordan Jefferson.

False.
Bama lost last night because of an incoherent game plan. They never played to their strength and OU's weakness. Saban abandoned the power run to set up play action scheme that has been working for 5 years. Obviously he wanted to give his pet AJ a chance for a signature closing performance and it backfired on him.
Don't read more into than that. It was a bad coaching job. Nothing more.

I think that we've looked to build our defense to give us a fighting chance against every offensive scheme we play against, not to hate out one particular strategy. Our D is probably one of the most well-rounded from a scheme perspective, we just lacked experience and depth in personnel this season. The flaw will be corrected
