re: No COD launch thread yet?

Best multiplayer we have had in years. I am a multiplayer ranked grinder tho. That is not out yet.

I think many people have cod fatigue and on the surface this year just looks like a DLC to last years. But it is far from that. Way better maps and the gameplay is not the same.

Also the campaign is bad.

I think a lot of folks struggle to understand why LSU is a superior situation to Florida because on its face, you would think Florida is every bit as good if not better.

There has to be more to the situation at Florida (like commitment to NIL) that places it a clear peg below the opportunity at LSU.

Well LSU leads in the 2 most important things.
LSU is likely willing to pay much more as history has shown.
LSU will be easier for him to recruit. NIL seems stronger at this point.

LSU also has the better home game advantage. Not that I think this factors much into it.

LSU does have the negatives of expectations and politics.
I don't know how anybody thinks of Florida as a better job.

Only Persona 5 Royal has actually. It has sold roughly 7.25 million copies with the combined sales of Royal and original persona 5 at around 10 million units. Atlus actually just updated these sales numbers in September 2025 so we know they’re very up to date.

I was just making the point how rare it is for jrpgs to reach this level of air in terms of sales for any of them and persona has become the sort of king in the genre as much as I love FF I’d argue it stopped being a JRPG around 12

E33 has sold better on release than any Persona ever. That includes even the Persona 5 Royale version.
The 7.25 number you are getting includes the Persona 5 Royale and Persona 5 Royale remaster. Released in 2019 and 2022! Atlus milks their games.

No Persona game has sold as much as E33 without re-releases. Or as much in half a year.

5 million over half a year is wildly more impressive than 10 million over 9 years and 3 game releases.

I am just showing more context so that the success of E33 is highlighted more. Atlus wishes it had that launch year.

Last update they gave was 5 million sales, which is just freaking mind blowing for a turn based jrpg that was also on gamepass not named persona.

No Persona has sold as much as Clair Obscur.

They repackage presonas a lot so lifetime sales of Persona 4 and 5 are high. But they count the royal and golden versions. These came out years later.

It's just so different than previous NG games. It's polished and satisfying mechanically, but it's a Ninja Gaiden game in name only. It's FAR more Platinum than Team Ninja.

I have not played it yet. But I saw that coming a mile away in the announcement thread.

Ninja Gaiden and platinum games. I am not sure how I feel about that.
I hope they are not doing the combat.

Interesting. I doubt it changes things too much. If it does just plug in the next best single target dmg skill.

Monnoco is really the best support character imo.

He is the only character that can apply the powerless debuff naturally.

Sciel is the easily the best support character because of Fortune's Fury. Not to mention having Intervention. She should be in every team once unlocked.
Powerless is a pretty useless debuff unless for some reason you are taking multiple turns to kill enemies. 20% dmg reduction is meh, especially in a game when you can dodge/parry anything.
Using Monnoco as a marker is a better use of his support skills. But I rather Verso for that role.

I am being a bit critical here but you said "best"

Edit: I broke this down in a previous post but it is pretty simple to see why
Sciel gives you 2x dmg
A Marker gives you another 2x dmg
Maelle Medalum another 2x dmg

It is possible to get damage in the billions with this.
Make use of the favorite feature, tag your good luminas, pictos, weapons and use sort. It helps some.

I figured as much, but it seemed optional.

Even if it didn't offer anything, I still enjoy the story from it

No reason not to do them. Not only do you get more story and combat moves. You actually get 3 side missions. And 1 is huge and pretty important to the story.

I just got Monoco and I still haven't spent a single upgrade material or color of lumina

I can see not upgrading weapons and just replacing them as you loot to try others. But no lumina is wild. I guess if you enjoy more of a challenge, have at it.

I actually imagine many people don't even know what lumina is. It is kind of hidden in the menu and tons of people ignore tutorials.

I’m only about to finish act 2 but I am using Dualiso at level 20 with energizing attack, combo attack, empowering attack, exposing attack, and a bunch of the shot luminas. It’s like a cheat code with how much damage he does.

Great weapon as well. That is what I used until I got the cheater lumina. Cheater gives you double turns no matter what. So you no longer benefit from the Dualiso after that.

Chevalam gives you S off the start. (300% dmg)

Just powered through most of the endless tower with this build. Completely overpowered.

Yep. There are a few fights that have 3 enemies that are pretty beefy and/or have shields.

Maelle has the best skill to deal with sheilds as well. If you do happen to go a couple turns in those fights another tip is the 1st tier gradient attack for Maelle gets her to virtuose again. With cheater lumina you can use that into a stendhal.

But all of the super hard optional bosses tend to be solo with no shields so they are getting one shot. Simon in particular is insane to try to parry, if you are not going to one shot him, good luck.

I am not gonna discuss builds in here because I'm sure there are some broken aspects but i'm bookmarking this post just in case I need help later.

i was building everyone balanced in act 1 but when I hit act 2 got a new character with 63 skill points and dumped them all in agility. I have 6 of the respec tokens but Im gonna see how it plays out.

You don't have to min/max the attributes. I did make it through everything with a completely even stat build for the vast majority of the game. As I was trying out different builds a lot.
Also for this build. Since it may not be obvious.

With Maelle you want to build her as a glass cannon.
Pump her attributes for dmg. (I forget what the weapons key stats are)
The 3 pictos should get you to 100% crit.
For her luminas you want all of the dmg boosters. Including the 1 time opener types. And of course the dmg cap lumina.

She will easily do over 30 million dmg in the first attack at the end game.

My preferred team to take on endgame bosses and stuff is Verso, Lune, and Maelle

Lune is okay but Maelle easily does 4 times the damage of her in the late game. And having Sciel in the party just for her double damage ability is more important as a buffer for Maelle.
