I thought that Jackson played well last night. Knight was on the money, but Jackson looks the part, IMO.

Jackson had a great game last night. And I remember the original Saban DB that got death threats who ended up having a damn fine game against Alshon Jeffery as a senior in 2009. Remember Marquis Johnson? Guy was routinely mocked in 2007, 2008, and through the first few games of 2009. He was the first guy our fanbase made the self aware "medical redshirt" jokes about. This despite him looking good as a freshman under Kines in 2006. Well not even a game but a particular series where he out dueled a guy who was taller than him by about 4 inches, a guy with a sick vertical jump as well. If you can find a replay of that game, rewatch it. Mark Ingram may have won the Heisman that night, but that drive where we turned the ball over and they threw 4 fades in a row at Johnson only for him to lock down Jeffery is more than anything what won us that ball game.

He does look to have a bright future but he is not ready and it shows how recruiting CBs is so big this year when he got thrown to the wolves because we have limited resources at the position at this time.
