Is interviewing for the Georgia Southern job. I believe it's just to get a raise

That's what I've seen too. Apperently Richt was contacted by Texas too. He declined to even consider going to Texas, we will be stuck with the same old show for many years to come!

It might not be a bad thing for him to go get some HC experience so he doesn't have to learn on the job like he did here as OC.

Then we can hire someone creative like Brent Pease in the meantime, til Richt retires and Bobo comes home.

You can be an ok OC, a mediocre OC, or even a bad OC but if you frick with the administrations revenues you, son, are on someone's shite list!

I don't know about that 4 NFL teams are dumping staff along with big jobs opening up in CFB. A lot of movement will be taking place over the next few weeks.

The nature of the beast.

Why can't it be Todd grantham instead?

That's a little bit of wishful thinking, but it would really hurt recruiting and QB play for a few years. Ramsey and Co. were recruited to run Bobo's system, so I don't think losing him would really be a great thing. We have averaged 40+ per game the past few seasons now. If only we could stop somebody?

Bobo to Southern would actually be a great stepping stone to a nice HC gig.

Richt will never leave UGA. Why would he? Ultra tolerant Admins and big boosters. Healthy contract. He and Katharine love Athens. He's on pace to become UGA's winningest coach.

Based on thr Todd Grantham experiment, I don't even want to think about what kind of goon we would end up with if Bobo left.

Pease doesn't develop the QBs like Bobo.
But we already have the QBs in house.

Pease would do better at UGA than at Florida.

I sincerely doubt Bobo leaves for Southern. This is like when Smart interviewed with Southern Miss a few years back. He'll get a nice raise and that'll be all.

Coach Elkins from Harrison High School, 9th grade science teacher, could win games with Todd Gurley, Matt Stafford, Murray, AJ, et al.

Well, initially the DC search looked better IMO but because Richt came off as a lame duck coach (yea, these people clearly didn't know UGA) no DC would come. Even when Searels left who did we hire, Friend? To a one year deal or something? Dude was and remains a nobody.

Idk, maybe they'd sense the need for a splash....

Who the frick am I kidding, you are right. We'd make the diet coke of hires and everyone would immediately lose wood. Or worse, Richt would become playcaller again.

Oh, no doubt, but something about hiring UF's left overs gives me the heebie jeebies.

That honestly pisses me off. We already over pay our DC, gonna be annoying as frick to do it with the OC. I say call his bluff and let him walk. He won't do it and if he does then who cares because apparently we will just hire him when Bobby Richt retires.

Richt would never hire someone who would change the offense dramatically. It's sort of his baby
