But I do. I just pay more attention to one more than the other.
I'm literally watching the Alabama vs. Xavier game on my laptop as I type this. I go to nearly every home game. It is difficult because I want our coach fired. I think they can be a very successful program with the right guy.
I watched every UK football game I could this year. I keep up with their recruiting almost as much as Alabama's.
I don't know what to tell you. I had 2 fraternity brothers who were also UK fans as well. One had the exact same story as me and the other is from Kentucky.

Long as you make an effort to follow Bama basketball I'll give you somewhat of a pass. It's just a pet peeve of mine. On the kansas side of KC there are a lot of pukes who are magically fans of kansas basketball but K-State football. In Omaha there are lots of "Blue Huskers" who root for Creighton basketball but Nebraska football. Both strike me as utterly ridiculous because in both cases those schools are arch rivals who play each other in one or both of the sports in question. I would ask what it is you and your buddies do when Bama plays UK - do you root for UK? Try to stay neutral and wear both red and blue? It's a difficult dance and I do not begrudge anyone who was true to a school or team before they had to go off to college and stay loyal to it. But the frontrunner types who deliberately just glue themselves to whichever team they are near or know of that is most successful is what sucks. If you will give Bama hoops and UK football the effort as well, then cheers to you.

What date/time is Arkansas' bowl game this year?
I like to watch all the SEC teams and root for the conference to do well during bowl season but couldnt find the Arkansas bowl game on the schedule. Must be some kind of error.

Just got back from the game. Plain and simple...this team is not very good. The Illini didn't impress me and we lost to them so what's that say about Mizzou? Clarkson got his quietly, but beyond that, it really was one of the most painful games to watch in person that I've ever been too. A lot of individual parts that just don't work together very often.

If you cheer only for the program in each that historically and currently is better, then that's bandwagon. Very simple.

Depends on the sport and the situation. They rarely play each other in football, so it is never an issue, but I will always cheer for Alabama.
It becomes a lot more difficult when it comes to basketball because I want both to make the tournament. I normally cheer for Alabama because a loss won't knock Kentucky out of the tournament, but it would be a resume improver for Alabama. Last year was extremely difficult because both were on the bubble.

I hate baseball. My NFL team is the Titans and my NBA team is the Memphis Grizzlies. Nobody on the Kentucky board seems to mind my presence

Maybe but maybe not. I'm not convinced this team is very good yet. I think the talent is there, but the team is not. I've only seen one good half of basketball all year (2nd half against UCLA) and that includes a lot of minutes against some horrible teams.

The sooner y'all accept this, the better. Can't benefit from Mike's players anymore. Gonna be a long year and a very short postseason. A positive that you can take away is that you won't have less post-season success than the last 2 years.

No, they realy are not. They were teasing the fan base early with glimpses of quality ball but most all of us knew this team was rough around the edges and a bubble team is where the ceiling resided.
Still think thats the "best" this team can hope for this year. Road games are going to be tough to watch once conference play starts up.
