Well, this makes perfect sense. You meet someone, like her, and want to see her again, so you assume a completely different identity, going to great lengths to ensure she doesn't know who you really are. That's logical.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that this girl was a dingy blonde? I don't see a normal girl falling for these weird pretenses for that length of time, they have a sense about shite like this and get extremely curious.
In conclusion, there seems to be fabrication here in more ways than one or you have been patrolling the special needs schools looking for dates. Which is sick either way you look at it.

When I was like 16 was talking to this girl from a few towns over on the old yahoo chat. Talked for a few months an one day she wanted me to come over an hit, had a gf though an she had only seen pictures of me. Let my friend go instead, kid was not the best looking dude ever an definitely looked nothing like me or the pictures she had seen. She still let him get it
