then they'd have a higher YPC, then right?

Sacks happen more when you throw the ball more. Therefore, more negative plays.
Then explain the larger number of tackles for loss?

FSU has the better o line.

No they don't.

Pretty much..... Yeah
They are more a smash mouth, up the gut run team, also. They don't rely on misdirection as much as AU. So in the argument of who has the better o line, this is something that you must consider. And they have the better o line. You wouldn't really know, because like most in this thread, you probably haven't really watched them at all.
Like everyone, they certainly won't have issues running the ball (or throwing it,'for that matter) against AU.

FSU's OL has given up more negative plays on the year (TFLs and sacks) while running 53 fewer plays... combine that with the fact that AU has the higher yards per carry and it's pretty clear AU has the better OL.
that's not to say FSU's OL isn't one of the best in the nation... it is.

Did you even watch the Iron Bowl? Plus, against GA, AU shut Gurley down in the 1st half.

FSU ranks 80th nationally in sacks allowed per game.... while ranking 73rd in passing attempts per game... how can that be with such an awesome OL.

Pretty much, no.
Auburn - 4364 Rushing yards this year w/ 6.5 ypc.
FSU - 2696 Rushing yards w/ 5.7 ypc.
So again, no.
That's w/ Auburn playing an SEC schedule and FSU and ACC schedule.

Did you notice what you did there? LSU lost twice? You evidently noticed it but posted it anyways, why?
Well, if you had read the post, it was to point out that no SEC champ got their arse handed to them like Auburn did. LSU lost twice in 2007, but both were in overtime and both were less than half of the 14 point route Auburn has on its resume.
Sorry, I'm just not buying into a team that got routed by a three loss team.

Well, that's not true...
Being "clear" and all...that's faulty logic - the entire paragraph.
FSU and their redshirt freshman QB...sometimes standing back there all day...looking, looking, looking...can affect things...negative plays...and OL ratings.
While Auburn is always rolling forward on their ground attack.
I said it before...Winston...despite the Heisman can be the biggest reason Auburn wins. He's still raw and young...and sometimes this season he showed.
The only redshirt freshman QB to win a National Title was Bernie Kosar.

Who cares about the LSU game? Auburn's offense is night and day different since then. Marshall has learned how to make the correct reads on the option plays now.

Completely agree with this. FSU is a more talented team across the board, but I like Auburn's strength being a run based attack in a high pressure game.

True freshman Jamelle Holieway also won a National Title.

He showed it during the 1st half of that Duke game. He was BAD....against a BB school.

what about Auburn's QB who has less experience (and the same number of starts coming into the season -- Zero) in our offense than Winston has FSU's offense?

agreed... when pressured, he's not scared to throw it up for grabs... he's got freaks at WR and a great TE... we've got to play the ball better than we have all season.

Those with a simple mind might view things this way.

Just because an o-line gives up less TFLs, it does not mean that they are the better o-line.
When games are out of reach, what frequently happens? Back ups are put in. More vanilla running plays are called, and the defense KNOWS it.
I can see you haven't watched much (if any) FSU games this year.

so it's part of their scheme to give up negative plays, right?
but the way you post, i'm afraid you might actually believe that...

He's become irrational at this point. Provide statistical proof of something and he'll just call you "simple-minded". It's a good troll, I guess.

This logic is great for simpletons, and those who disregard the offensive styles of both teams, and the fact that so many of FSU's games were blowouts.

Yes, I saw the 200+ yards AU gave up on the ground to Bama.

Miyagi has a point.
Aubbie's "stats" don't prove really anything.
FSU is a big play - big strike offense with a redshirt freshman QB.
They're going to have negative plays and sacks - that's the reality of football...FSU was always looking for the big gain...and you will hold onto the ball back there longer.
Aubbie is a third-world choo-choo train...3 yards, 3 yards, 4 yards...1st down...rinse and repeat.
Hell, even in their time running down...biggest drive of the year...they did the same run up the gut...roll forward 3 yards offense.
Aubbie isn't going to have a lot of negative yards...they're not an offense that is constantly looking for the big air strike.
