The 5 teams he lost to had a combined 6 losses total ... Back yo the drawing board with you.

This topic has been neglected.
I know it seems negative, unappreciative, and like nitpicking, but this is the SEC Rant, and new controversial topics like this should be welcome.

I asked for opinions. If I wanted to bash the program, there are other things I could say.

Here is the deal, unlike any other coach in the country (excluding Corch Irvin Meyers at tOSU), Saban does not lose games that he absolutely should not have lost (like Miles losing to Ole Miss, Muschamp losing to Georgia Southern, Pete Carroll losing to 40 point dog Stanford, etc.).

Since losing to Louisiana Monroe, it seems that Saban almost always beats the teams he is supposed to beat without a doubt.

Hell, the Texas A&M team that beat Bama last year was arguably the best team in the nation at year's end.

The games that Saban has lost in recent years are to teams that had a reasonable capability of beating Bama.

Ole Miss should have not had any chance against LSU this year due to injuries and inferior talent. Instead, they found themselves down 17-0 and never recovered.

Saban is the best recruiter the nation has ever seen, and is likely the best program manager the country has ever seen and is in the Top 10 of game day coaches the country has ever seen.

Like all past great teams or programs
Bama has the misfortune of having their wins count against their final opponents loses & worthiness. But when great teams lose their opponents final worthiness is bumped up. This sorta skews the rankings stat. That's why rankings at time of game and final rankings both matter. Unless a team that was ranked at game time totally craps the bed.

Take away Bama's 73 wins from their opponents loss column since 2009, and see how those teams look or where they might of been ranked at seasons end. Bama's 73-8 record since 2008 speaks for itself plenty. If someones has got better, post it.....
