Perception of WM after FSU

Let's say FSU wins by 25+ tomorrow, IYO does that change the admins minds in their decision making process?
Just curious as to what you guys think. I know that some fans aren't liking WM now, but the admins are staying strong behind WM. If we get beaten down the masses are only going to get more angry, and I wonder if the admins can be swayed. Just some food for thought, and trying to drum up some discussion.
I think the game is closer than everyone thinks, but that is just me.

If the Georgia southern game did not change their minds, I don't know what will?

All I am saying is, if you think the noise in the system is loud now, if UF gets blown out by FSU in BHG, it will only get worse.
I don't think the above happens, but just want to discuss, I guess.

The noise was deafening after the GSU debacle. It can't get any louder than that.
Unless Foley has been hiding his true intentions this whole time, nothing is going to change his mind. Muschamp it is for 2014, for better or for worse.

I am fine with WM returning, if I can tell with a new OC that his offensive philosophy is altered. Looking forward to Sun/Mon. Should be interesting times.

What happens when BHG is about 30% to 40% FSU fans? And then they beat us by 25?
I know quite a few people who are not going tomorrow?

I think South Carolina gained the staff some goodwill before the GSU debacle.
If we get killed it won't affect my view of Muschamp. If our team gets a lot of unsportsmanship penalties and thugs it up, then I'll be pretty irritated.

This.
I'm comfortable with Champ being here next year because we'll either finish much better or be getting a new coach in 2015. I'm good with that. I would just like to see our defense play with an edge but manage not to cut themselves with it.
I don't think we're as good as FSU, but I know we aren't as bad as GSU. Who this team is lies somewhere in the middle. I don't think we will win, however, I do think if our guys play lights out and catch a few breaks, we can be in this one. This staff and team has been through a lot this year. I hope they can channel all the BS for four good into a statement not so much about Florida as this team this year. If they come out there and play like this, I will definitely applaud Muschamp playing to the end.

If we bring in a big time OC or Kerwin next year, I'd be willing to give Muschamp another year.
If the plan is to bring him some other run oriented ball control OC, I'd want him gone. If we are going to struggle, it might as well be entertaining.

I wanted him gone just from the GSU loss, but I'm also fine keeping him for 2014. I do hope he makes changes on the offensive side of the ball.

The ground-oriented game doesn't bother me as much as the pure incompetence (and some bad luck with injuries) on that side of the ball. WM needs to win more in 2014, and at this point, I don't care how it is (whether it's a good rushing attack or a great passing game).

This is my take as well. I am a "spread" guy, and would rather be entertained, and hope that once ever 3-4 years the D is good enough to compete for a NC. I watch UF football to be entertained, not be bored as hell and frustrated.

Why do we want Bell so bad?

No clue.
This game has only furthered my desire to fire Pease and hope WM has changed his thoughts on offense.
D has played their fricking arse' off, but is worn down now. Pease is calling the game right into FSU's strength on D, which is speed. We are running it laterally and throwing it side to side. This guy is a fricking idiot of an OC.

I think he can be a good OC, but it's risky. At the same time, I'm not sure if it's more risky than taking someone like the Fresno or NIU OC.
Personally, I want to see a system that has a 50/50 pass/run ratio and actually attacks the defense. Kerwin provides that, and obviously the Fun-n-Gun influences is a good fit for our fans.

No....the answer is the average fan wants to see passes thrown to be entertained...I wanna win like everyone else and I KNOW 90% of ALL college games are won by the team with the MOST RUSHING yds...period.
Look through your sunday paper and read the boxscores and look at stats...total rushing yds will tell you who won (as long as there isn't a marked difference in turnovers).
I listened in the stands yesterday and hear the average fan yelling "throw a swing pass" and of course that didn't work...and when we ran up the middle...more complaining...although nevermind Burtons run for 50 yds was up the middle. You have to keep defenses honest and LBs from stepping backwards too quickly. But average fan doesn't understand that those 1-3 yd gains serve a purpose...OCs and HCs know most of the time those plays result in few yards...BUT they also know the importance of them...meanwhile average fan is yelling. (for no reason)
What we have to decide is whether our offense was truly affected by mass injuries by the time of the LSU game...as you may remember...Driskel was out and Murphy inserted...and doing fairly well, then came the pass rush by LSU and Murphy was never the same because of shoulder injury..he played hurt and was brave....Mizzou was more of the same. I honestly think the LSU game started a real spiral downward because of the shoulder injury and Murphys already thin xperience on the field. So we ended up with third string qb and played well against USC. When we played Mizzou...we had two DL out to go along with Easley and susp for hit by Riggs and we were blown out.
The injuries on defense were worse imho and we were decimated against GSU. Walk ons (Campbell) playing at LB, true frosh (Davis) at LB and a DE who should have never seen playing time until he gained at least 20-25 lbs. Saban couldn't have done much with this team that week.
Yesterday I kept a real eye on defense and we had a lot of players on the field who never came off because of depth...Im sure Boom told them in the locker room to strap it on tight and battle.
I was proud to be a Gator yesterday...our players didn't quit...they may have worn down...but they fought their butts off. Rather have our players than the ketchup and mustard ones like Winstead who was yelling at his HC on the sidelines...he is a piece of work.
