Winless but his team played fiercely with heart.

Biekema's thoughts on the SEC now?
He probably realizes the following but first I have to congratulate the Tigers on a great game. They dominated the Hogs in every phase of the game today including coaching. I’m not making excuses but the Hogs did play down to their competition today but that’s the way it goes sometimes.

Now to what Bielema realizes after his first year through the SEC.
1. When Arkansas doesn’t have to play 14 freshmen and inexperienced players at almost every position, there is only one team that we will have to play really well to beat and that's Bama.
2. As long as Miles is as coaching LSU the Hogs will always have a chance. It has to be a sobering thought, if there is such a thing for LSU Fans, that despite all their talent and experience they were outplayed most of the game by an inexperienced, not-very talented Arkansas team. Sobering indeed.
3. Gus the Pius and his Mickey Mouse offense will be exposed sooner rather than later. This will be the fewest losses (three including Bama, and their bowl game) Auburn will ever have under him. It’s downhill from here for Gus the Pius and his cult.
4. A & M’s most hyped and “best” team in recent history still struggled to beat Arkansas’ worst team in recent history. Enough said.
5. Missouri is well, Missouri. Nothing special and will be an easy game for the Hogs to wind up the season every year.
6. Ole Miss? Even with their “top-rated” classes recently they still aren’t very good and lose to teams they should easily beat.
7. Mullen gets the most out of State but they are just a low-level program that probably won't beat the Hogs for another ten years or so.
No doubt Bielema has to be energized after this year. Anything else you want to know?

He's probably more pissed that Nebraska lost today than he is about the Razorbacks. Bert needs Ferentz out so he can jump (flag)ship.

I agree--I thought Bielema came out with a great game plan today. Arkansas may be a physical team in a couple of years.

Probably the best thing to happen to him. He's young enough for this to be a driver not a deterrent.

That's all fine (Gus the Pius, good one) but if you don't find a QB, you'll be 0-8 again.

I couldn't agree more. I have no problem with Brandon Allen's grit and effort but he has a few flaws in his game that aren't correctable.
1. He apparently doesn't have very good peripheral vision and can't see the most open receiver.
2. He doesn't have a good feel for pressure which gets him in trouble a lot.
3. Arm strength is not where it need to be and he frequently under throws receivers.
Things that are correctable and may improve with time.
1. Quickly reading defenses to know where the pressure will come from and what receiver will be open.
2. Timing on throws. BA tends to wait too long to throw to his recovers. Probably has something to do with the pick-sixes he throw earlier in the year.
I think BA will be the early starter next year with either his brother, redshirt freshman Austin, or true freshman Rafe Peavey, who is a mid-term enrollee and will participate in spring practice, his backup. By the 3rd or 4th game either of the aforementioned backups will overtake Brandon and relegate him to 3rd string or worse for the remainder of his career.

youre as big a joke as bert.
when is it officially later? Gus' offense has been in big boy division for a long time now. been successful at every stop. at some point you have to just suck it up and admit you messed up letting him get out of Arky.

You will see just how good Gus and his Mickey Mouse offense is after today. I know you won't admit it but Auburn was lucky they didn't lose 4-5 games this year.
Also, no way in hell would I want Gus the Pius coaching the Razorbacks. He is the Jimmy Swaggart / Jim Bakker / Jim Jones of college football.
Gus is as dirty as they come and Auburn will find that out soon enough. Just like I told the Rebel Fans about Nutt, I'm telling you about Gus. What you see is not what you get with Gus the Pius. You are just to blinded to realize it.

I don't think Bielema underestimated the SEC as much as he overestimated our talent when he took the job.
Nolan Richardson did the same thing, made some glowing remarks about some of our player when he first got here (e.g. Scott Rose, William Mills).
Had a rough first year, but soon got it turned around. Hopefully CBB is on track to do the same. He recruited a better class last year (several started this year) than we have had since probably the DMac class. Hope he can keep that recruiting going this year.

A few corrections.........As long as Miles is coaching LSU, "everyone" will always have a chance, but "most" will lose, just like the Hogs.
For LSU, Despite all their talent, they were outplayed in the first 3 quarters of the game.
After losing 9 starters from last year's defense, this year's LSU team was very "inexperienced" just like Arky. Also, I saw a "true" Freshman QB, with virtually no experience, lead LSU on a 99 yard drive and throw the game winning TD to a red-shirt Freshman for LSU to win the game.

Congratulations on finally pulling ahead 4-3 over the last 7 games with the Hogs, with your last two wins (last year and this) being by a total combined points of 11.
Fear the Hog, even when it's bleeding and on one leg.
