Pease thinks he earned another year?

Brent said in a interview considering his body of work the last 2 years he has earned the right to come back next year. My question to you posters is do you think it was his offense? It was pretty good at Boise St. Or do you think Muschamps philosophy of ground and pound and chew clock kept Brent limited?

One good year with the school's greatest QB ever.
It was a set system with a senior QB and the HC is an offensive coach.
UK and Baylor fans warned us. Hefty Lefty was right.

We will have to wait until seasons over and see what Muschamp thinks. There is no one that knows everything that has transpired more than him and he knows what Pease has done correct or incorrect and what is out of Peases control...like third string qbs.
I would love to see Saban coach against AU with 3rd string qb like we had to do against USC. He could not done any better at all. Our team played their hearts out.
Start gearing up for 2014 and realize that no way no how we can be so unlucky two years in a row. Muschamp said in presser yesterday and with conviction: we can turn things around in one year and I firmly believe that too.

He knows he's gone but he was asked if he deserved another year.
He's kind of obligated to say 'yes' even if he knows no one else thinks so.

I truly love your optimism but we lost to Vandy and Georgia Southern! We are close to last in the NCAA in every offensive category. Somebody has to go! Muschamp, Pease, take your pick but somebody has to go. I share Muschamps optimism that we can make it to the SEC championship game next year if we make changes, not if we continue to do the same things and just expect a different result.
Something has to change and somebody has to go!
Go Gators, beat Fsu.

Vandy loss sucked, but they're a much better program with Franklin.

For some reason, I think Muschamp is going to fix all of this all year, starting with BP getting his walking papers next Monday.

True, but we didn't just lose. They blew us out.

I spoke with a Gator booster today. The major concern seems to be that, there have been feelers sent out to prospective new OC's. The problem seems to be that no one is interested because no one wants to relocate or attach themselves to a lame duck coach like Muschamp. For what could be just 1 season. Because we all know if Muschamp doesn't win next season, he's gone along with the rest of is staff.
The other concern is the lack of playmakers on the offensive side of he ball. That at least one guy cited as the reason he would be a bit hesitant to consider the job.

I think we have play makers. They just haven't been developed.
Drob, Fulwood, Debose, and Dunbar are a solid WR group and can turn to an elite one.
Taylor is a play maker.
OL def needs work.
Driskel and TM could be play makers in the right system.
Then you have Ermon Lane and Cook if he sticks, with Grier being the QB of the future.
That's a lot of a talent a good OC can exploit.

I agree we have some playmakers. But, they haven't really been developed. As for Cook, didn't he just say yesterday that FSU is now his favorite?

No. Bartow from 247 misinterpreted the quote. Which is typical.

Robinson has been suspended off and on and is in doghouse...I don't wanna be the girls school....kids to be good students and understand the rules...Fulwood is true frosh...how in the HELL do you develop true frosh? Have you noticed that true frosh are not usually ready to play their first year...or at least until mid season.
Debose was injured and out all year.,...that's hard to develop Dunbar will be a senior in 2014 I believe and had better year in 2012,,,why? He could have been one of the dozens walking wounded in trainers room. Taylor? Future star and was not ready to play the first few games and was eased into game situations. Some brainiacs think the yellow school bus just drop players from high school at Ben Hill Griffin and they are ready to play. I wish. Of course...if Taylor would have been inserted earlier & often and fumbled a few times or missed blocking assignments...it would have been the OCs fault.
There are exceptions..Treadway at Ole Miss is awesome 500.00 wr with a 10 cent brain The Pounceys were somewhat of an exception also at a position very difficult for frosh to grasp. So, Im not laying it all on inexperience...but on offense WHO do we have that is All SEC material? With only two years and a one very good recruiting haul...its hard to blame OC for lack of talent...now going forward we will have more talent on offense and Pease has Grier (redshirt for sure), Taylor and hopefully some wrs that will merit media attention after 2014. But we have NONE now, hard to make chicken salad outta chicken scratch.

Not much else he could say, though I would have cracked up if he'd walked out and said, "Sorry guys, I just kinda suck."
