Kidding. For me, its more of a nostalgia thing than anything. I grew up going to LR games. My family had LR season tickets and tried to make a Fayetteville game every year. I went to pretty much every LR game from 1996-2010, missing only a couple here and there due to out of town conflicts. I remember freezing my arse off when Manning and the Vols came to LR. I remember Carlos Hall's block against SC, I remember getting pissed during Miracle on Markham 2 at the fans who left early, then laughing at them on the way out of the stadium when we won, and I remember staying in the stadium with everyone else for about 30 minutes after LSU 2010 because none of us wanted to leave. I understand why they are moving and it makes complete sense, but I still hate to see the LR games coming to an end. The thing I hate the most about it is the hate that goes back and forth on the argument. The yankees vs. redneck bull shite gets old and is pretty offensive sometimes. I never understood why an argument over the location of football games could draw so many insults and hatred between fans.

I have moved out of the state (my last home game was LSU 2010, and it was probably my favorite game as a Razorback fan) so this doesn't affect me as much as it does my parents and their ability to go to games. I'll still support whether they stop them in 2018 or extend it a few more years. After all, they are the Arkansas Razorbacks, not the LR/Fayetteville Razorbacks.

nice post. fwiw I've lived in central Arkansas all my life. lots of family in this area. I like the area.

It just amuses me to see people get up in arms and get defensive when they perceive a slight being made towards a portion of the state they like.

This is a common misperception.

They are the University of Arkansas Razorbacks.

This might be the best/most insightful post I've seen on td in the three years I've been here.

This is not how to go about a Little Rock v. NWA thread. I will attach a small strategy guide for dealing with these kind of posts.

1. Call Bill a poopyface, even if he has yet to post in the thread. It's always important to land the first punch.

2. Find something that Fayetteville doesn't have. Hold it over their heads. For example. Little Rock has .5 presidential libraries per 100,000 people. Northwest Arkansas has 0.0. Therefore Little Rock > NWA.

3. Write a ton of complete bullshite that no one in their right mind will even dignify with a response. Declare their silence a forfeit. Bask in the sweet glow of victory.

I prefer the combination usage of Posting Strategies #1 and #2. Quick and to the point. Once the first three strategies are mastered, then we will be able to move on to more advanced strategies, such as logging on to Zillow and artificially increasing the property value of homes in your neighborhood so that you can use average home prices in an argument.

Also, Bill is a poopyface.

wonder how many central arkansas white knights this thread will attract

My facebook feed has several examples like this:

Looks like the Razorbacks just gave a big FU to Little Rock. Maybe attendance would go up if you actually won games.

From our entitled portion of the fanbase...

I would like to say "I hate to say it" but I don't.

We need a purge.

A win for LR.

Looks like Long decided they better schedule someone that we might can beat for homecoming next year. Assuming that's homecoming.

I get the whole nostalgia thing. I remember well the Miracle on Markham and the Great BCS Chant of 2010. There have been some great games there and some great ones I've been to. But it just makes no sense logistically in any way and it especially hurts recruiting. I don't care how bad we are, 50k seats sold in Fayetteville is better than 30k sold in LR.

I can easily live with one game a year in Little Rock. We are headed in the right direction.

What this does is offset the lost home game with aTm in Jerry world starting every other year next year.

Yes, while adding $1M in revenue according to Long.

I actually like this idea of one game a year in Little Rock as we discussed for many years.

Get the kids to campus yet invite them to a unique "Cocktail Party" type game once a year with UGA (add good SEC or Big12 team). This is all predicated on the fact we are good, ha.

I wish we would use part of this $ increase to lower the upper deck edge seat prices to $35 per seat per game.

To a family of four from downstate, that would make up the gas it takes to come to Fayetteville, and their kids would actually get to see the campus.

Even $35 is a rip-off. Upper deck sucks hind tit.
