Basketball recruiting is a pretty sleazy business and to be successful you have to be allowed by your compliance dept to operate in grey areas. Our compliance dept will not allow this to happen. Barbee and Ryan Miller were both considered elite recruiters before they came to Auburn. They have not been allowed to recruit the way everyone else does and the same would happen with Pearl. Doesn't really matter anyway. Bruce Pearl would never consider coming to Auburn to coach basketball.

Willie Kouassi. Cedric McAfee. Jordan Price. Shaq Johnson. Varez Ward and K.T. Harrell as also came in as transfers. All were four-star players Barbee brought to Auburn.
Don't blame Barbee's ineptitude here on recruiting.
