Ouch. Surely he throws better than Denard. I haven't watched AU this year so I have no idea. I saw where he only attempted like 6 passes or something one game? Is it because he does throw like Denard--the Michigan State fans always called him arm punter. Bucc, you'll have me feeling pretty good right now if you say he throws like Denard. He was terrible. God, I throw better than Denard.
One of the greatest passes...well his greatest pass and seminal moment of his AU career...was terribly underthrown and deflected He doesn't attempt many passes so I haven't seen enough to make a full comparison, but the undervalued factor in all of this is Malzahn's offensive schemes, his playcalling & how efficient that can make a QB look regardless of pure throwing ability or talent. What I've seen the short to intermediate passes are ok, he short arms a lot and doesn't step into passes, his biggest weapon is eluding and throwing on the run seems like to me. Understand Gus is masterful at using his players best attributes...so that's why we've seen the 200+ yd rushing & only 7 attemped passes game.
AU's OL is pretty good against pass blocking so Bama will more likely go with the same style of D and box him in & force him to throw to gain yards, no pressure because of the run threat. Only problem is if you remember the 1 player who had a huge game against Mich that year on D was Dee Milliner & we don't have a CB as good this yr so the safetys will have to cover more ground and make the right reads.
Should be fun

Dude just think of multiplying that 3 by 27...you get...well.....DUDE HE DOMINATED!!!!

That's how he throws the ball Bucc..he expects it to be tipped by 2 defenders and caught every time. It's the new style of play. If you ain't with it you betsta get the frick out the way because that new shite is gone run you over. Even his passes are gimmicky.

Yeppers Mizz-Sec....cause this Mickey Mouse offense has never beaten Bama.
Saban's Defense versus Malzahn's Offense have faced off three times. Avg of the 3 games:
Total yards: 265
First Downs: 14
Total Plays: 58
Rushing Yards: 112
Passing Yards: 153

You need to watch that play again. If the defenders do not make a play, it lands well in front of the receiver as an incomplete pass. Inaccurate throw? Maybe Underthrown? No not at all

In one of those games they had that damned Cam Newton too....he just beat the Patriots on MNF.

What is it with Georgia defenders trying to catch passes they don't need to? SECCG last year......Auburn this year. Bunch of dummies...SMMFGDH.

Yup, and $Cameron Knewton was a good passer.

I expect this will be a damn good game though....Gus is a good coach and this Auburn team is proof of that.

I don't think it would've been in front...it actually might've hit #5 in the helmet. He got to step into that pass and chunked it downfield aimed between the hashes and that was how the play was drawn up I'm guessing because 5 was the only deep rte WR on that play but it was designed to get him behind the S & Grantham should've called a different D play IMO but that is water under the bridge now

Alabama's second string quarterback is better than Auburn's first string quarterback and he basically runs the same offense.
Alabama's second and third string running backs are as good as Auburn's first two.
Alabama's second string against Auburn's first string would be close.
The speed of Alabama's defense will shut down Auburn and it will basically be another Alabama-Notre Dame game, but probably worse.

Corey Grant couldn't crack the rotation at Bama.

Saban was never going to allow grant to play RB at Bama.

Totally wrong. The TV coverage showed the flight of the ball if not touched and it would have been 5 yards behine the WR.
