I wouldn't know, I'd visit the state parks and get the frick out before encountering the locals. It was a little too southern down there for my liking.

Hwy 160 from Branson to West Plains is the worst part of America I've ever personally encountered, and I stand by that.

Exactly. It takes ab 20-30 minutes to get from their house to The Plaza.

And it takes about 5-10 minutes to get from East St. Louis, IL to St. Louis, MO. Doesn't make East St. Louis any more a part of St. Louis or Missouri.

I guess if the alternatives were New Orleans or Atlanta, St. Louis is about as well as you could do for a church group.
Sorry to say it, but every big city in the south is crappy and crime infested. St. Louis just being close to the south is a real detriment.
